these days when i watch old matches on youtube or accustats im mostly watching people's fundamentals. i'm watching this and thinking it's kind of odd that warren kiamko doesn't have a pause in his stroke.

i see a lot of players pause and because of the great instruction i got from scott lee i've built a pause into my game. i gotta say it's made me at least a half ball better and it's just strange to see someone play this well without doing it

Warren certainly does have a "continuous" stroke. The Pause is there, but obviously not a definite Pause....SPF=randyg

I heard an interesting comment in the narrative on this video. One of the commentators said; "When I teach my students about combinations .... I advise them to hit the combination softly so that ......

I have always heard (been taught) that when shooting a combination on the money ball (9 or 10) to hit the combination firmly so that you do NOT leave the money ball hanging in the pocket in the event that you miss the combination.

you want to pace it so you don't leave it in the jaws. if you're shooting the money ball you should shoot it at a firm pace just like you'd shoot it if it weren't a combo. too hard will take away your accuracy and too soft can leave the ball hung up.

What else in interesting is that Busta is stroking on the left side (to him) of the CB to the center of the OB...then on his final stroke, he swipes the tip to the right to give the CB right english....CTE? :wink:
