The person I bought it from said it was 20+ years old but the points aren't sharp. Could the age be different for this model?
It's the best feeling cue I've EVER played with!

I would date your cue to be around 1990 or after. With newer shafts that are not original to the cue.
 
Thanks KOINNKID, that sounds about right. I got the cue for $610, so I knew it wasn't an early 80's.
 
Like Troy said, Schon started using inlaid points (pantograph) in the late 1980's. The first models were duplicates of the r-series flyer and were, in fact, still referred to as R models.

you got a good buy. Nice cue, but I would get some different JP's though.

And maybe think about a dark green lizard wrap later on ...

This is from the line of cues that's approximately 20 years old, when Johnny Archer first signed on with Schon Cues.

So, yes, round points on 20 year old Schons.
