Hi Guys,

Can't wait to play with my new custom Miranda cue. I designed the cue and have them build it according to my spec. This cue has the same pin as the southwest brass 3/8-12. Will be getting the cue in roughly 2 weeks...hopefully the new process that was taken to make this cue will improve it ability to withstand warpage.... so far coring the forearm and butt sleeve has help with controlling warpage...I'm hoping that coring the handle and allow the wood to sit longer will help control the warpage as well when it gets to me in Canada. Enjoy!!!! It's damn beautiful...

What is sticking out the bottom????

I will guess a Turning Fixture, as the Cue was not 100% Complete when photo was taken.

Turning Fixture is used to hold Cue in a Lathe...:)

Looks like a maple dowel used to core the handle.
The cue looks beautiful but am not sure how ambuyna cored with maple would hit.

Thats a surprisigly nice looking cue,I wanted to check out there website but I could'nt find one. do they have a website?

I love the wood type and the wrapless design of your new cue. I hope it plays as well as it looks and that you don't have any warping problems!

The irony is that it looks like a completed cue to me...

I'll take ten Schick's like that for $2500 each. When should I expect delivery?!

Actually, how about two each from Mottey, White, Schick, McWorter, Cantando, and Prewitt?

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??????? WHEN DID I MENTION ANY OTHER CUEMAKERS? I WAS REFERRING TO THE OBSCENE PRICE SUGGESTION THAT WAS MADE FOR THE MIRANDA CUE.

I WAS JUST STATING THAT 5000.00 WAS WAY OUT OF LINE FOR A CUE LIKE THIS, WHEN YOU CAN BUY THEM ON E-BAY FOR LESS THAN 500.00. DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW WHAT I WAS SAYING?

Yeah, I was just being a smarta$$...lol. That's why I deleted my post shortly after I made it. Also, for some reason I thought he had mentioned something about top cuemakers in his post but when I went back and re-read it there was no mention...lol. I agree that $5000 is absurd for a Miranda Cue.

I FIGURED THAT.........NO PROBLEM

The cue is not completed yet and you guy are right the pin is brass 3/8-11...the exact same one that SW uses. I guess the reason why I called it a SW style was because originally I only wanted a thick Ivory band like southwest with the 6 points in the forearm but decided to change my mine and add the reverse 6 points in the butt sleeve as well with the modified ivory band.

The entire cue is cored with 40 layers of laminated maple, so I'm hoping that the cue will not warp...also, I've asked that they dip the cue in Nelsonite after each cut and let it sick for at least 1 week. The cue has been in their shop for a while now...I loved how my custom miranda plays with the cored maple so I think this will play just as well if not better. If you have a chance to play with my Custom Miranda Cue, you will be amazed how awesome it hit!! The hit of a Miranda is very similar to Bill Stround reinforced stainless steel radial pin joint....quiet and solid!!!! If feel like having power steering on your cue!!!

I have not yet heard of anyone with a Miranda Cue that is cored that would complain about the hit of their cues. I've heard people talked about warpage but no complain on how it plays. I have a warped Miranda Gina that has a hit that I would compare to any high quality cue.
