IPT Announcement

The International Pool Tour's Masters Championship, King of the Hill and Tour Card Tournaments are officially being rescheduled. These schedule changes are due to many factors, many relating to the Ho Interactive acquisition and financing schedule being pushed back due to recent legislation signed into law relating to online gaming. New dates for these events will be published in the coming days as the IPT event team is in contact with each of the venues. Tentatively, the IPT is targeting February and March for these tournaments and they will most likely be held in Chicago.

The IPT offers its sincerest apologies for those players and fans who have already made travel arrangements to attend these events. Players who have played in qualification tournaments and won qualifying spots in the 2007 Tour Card Tournament will be contacted shortly with the new dates. Again, the IPT apologizes for the inconvenience. Due to the fact that the IPT Masters Championship needs to be played in order to complete the field for the Tour Card Tournament, it was impossible to keep this event scheduled as-is.

Please note that these events are not cancelled, but rather in the process of being rescheduled. The moment that new dates are secured, there will be an announcement made. It is expected that within a couple of days new dates will be secured for each of these events. The Masters Championship will still be considered a 2006 event, thus prize earnings in that tournament will be reflected on the Money List for 2006.

(Well, so much for that)

Day seven since the last announcement where KT said the checks would go out "overnight priority" in 7 to 10 days or sooner, and that all IPT members would be getting a phone call. I don't know about anyone else but none of the people I've talked to have gotten that phone call. I don't know why the qualifiers should believe they'll be contacted.

Sadly "prophet of doom" seems too close for comfort now :(

I said they'd blame the US government and reschedule for Feb/Mar, hey 4 more months similar to the last ($500k from qualifiers) and they might even be able to pay!

Classic pyramid though, qualifiers from future/multiple events are funding a single event. Lets hope he secures some kind of funding before it comes crashing down.

He's left the players in a pretty bad spot now, 4 more months of uncertainty...

Oh! That dastardly "financing schedule"! President Bush interfering too! Ho Interactive still not in the bag!

Damn, I hoped for a trip to Vegas this December. Now it looks like it's gonna be Chicago next year (big if, of course).

Typical my luck they will schedule it to 9th of March, on the same day as the first Dolly Parton concert in Norway for 30 years... ;)

Once again the IPT spouts forth an infinite deal of nothing.

The continual stalling of a seemingly obvious final act in which all is lost is now beginning to verge on the ridiculous. Every Monday now we are treated to more variations on a theme and every Monday we are left simply none the wiser...............well, no actually almost everyone out there has now at least contemplated the worst, even if they are not fully ready to accept it just yet.

Anyone left believing in the future of the IPT is now somewhat akin to a child with their fingers in their ears shouting "la la la I can't hear you".

I'm sorry it has come to this, but let's face it we now have no Chicago tournament and no King of the Hill and if it's not over then I'm a monkey's uncle. Ah well, I need to find something else to do on my Vegas trip in December!

This is actually becoming cruel. I think the wording has an air of dancing as they set up some kind of legal protection for themselves. The players want their money now, nothing else needs to be promised or discussed, no one really cares about the future (never to be held) tournaments till the players get paid.

When Deno was giving Eydie a hard time about using the word cancelled instead of postponed, he also advised her of being careful with her choice of words since certain words could be taken different ways or something to that effect.

LOL, I told her that if we were to "talk" like they do, no one would ever know anything. The whole point of our posts when we learn something is to tell people the truth with no BS attached to it. They tell everyone BS with no truth attached.

Their announcements are just a lot of words that say very little.

This SUCKS !

It's like a nightmare, it just keeps getting worse and worse.......

I didn't see any mention of the missing money. Have the Reno checks been mailed out Priority Mail ? How can they (IPT) not even address the non payment of monies already WON ?

I really would have liked to see Chicago organized and attended, then ALL the players refuse to play.

I also feel bad for Deno, that he has let such a sheister like KT sully his, hell, his family's good name.

Well, that's too bad. I just 'lost' 20 rep points when I received this negative rep from:

You're going to soon find out that Deno did enough on his own, without KT's help, to damage himself. ;)

As u can prob guess I've heard this shocking rumour too, any reason why it hasn't been split on AZ yet?

I can understand that maybe it's not proven even if people saw it, but that usually doesnt stop things being leaked around here?

PS
I still can't believe they released that statement and made NO MENTION of what's happening with Reno payours they owe!

Dude (and Dudette), whether it be a rumor or not, something had to have happened for said "rumor" to materialize.

Now, I'll respect Mike's request and will mention it no further.

Vonn gleaned the "update" thru diligence from the IPT website.

IMO an announcement should still be forthcoming. It would be disappointing if this is the extent of IPT communication today.

I think that this was what we were all waiting for...

If I have understood it correct, the players will receive phonecalls during the next two or three days regarding payouts, and then the checks will be posted.

So that means that there is still at least one more week of waiting.

If we are all smart we will take a break from this forum for a week and try to play some pool ourselves, and check some of Bernie's next 50 new threads about Kevin and Deno next Monday.
