The guys in the chat are saying they interrupted the stream because they didn't want to show a Chinese player losing.

Could that really be the reason?
 
some guy just said nah, that's probably not it, they showed a guy get demolished 12-3 last time.

I dunno if this is incompetence or spite.

Naw, Melling beat a Chinese player last year and they showed it. Who knows what happened. But Dennis won 11-9.

Weird thing about how the stream ended (or didn't end) is that it was a pretty well produced deal - multiple cameras, instant replays, etc. Then somebody tripped over a cord or something...

I think Chan is from Chinese-Taipei or Taiwan, so it's not the issue...
 
I don't know, but I know this... they have all those good sponsors (pepsi, dove, lay's, etc.), and the sponsors lost the chance to show their products at the height of the stream, when there were apparently over 5,000 viewers (at one point showing almost 9000).

When people say "pool is a joke" they can point to stuff like this. Even with lots of viewers and good sponsors, someone has to find a way to fυck it up.
