This cue was previously owned by Chris Bartrum himself and he decided to let it go. This cue is called the 100,000 dollar cue because it's played for 100,000 dollars at least over the past year or so.
I'm only offering this cue for a couple of weeks on here because i've been offered a decent trade in louisville, but, money talks, so if anybody wants in make an offer before jan 1st. He has since got a new Neighbors cue. This cue was made in Janruary of 2006 by Richard H Neighbors in Cincinnati Ohio and is still in fabulous shape. It has two brand new shafts with ivory ferrules and layered tips that are 13mm. Richard is on page 667 in the bluebook of cues and this is one of his nicest cues. This cue is 60 inches long and the butt weighs 15.9oz and the shafts are 3.6oz and 3.8oz. It has 6 points 24 ivory inlays with 6 being in the bottoms of the points and the rest in the butt sleeve. This cue not only looks great but is one of the best playing cues i have ever seen. These pictures do not do this cue justis. ASKING $1650

Seen it in action more than once- looks better in 3d.

Will there be a list of the facts contributing to the $100k claim included wit hthe sale?

I suspect the $100k bit was just an anecdote, not necessarily a selling point. *shrug*

I think the estimate of $100,000 is pretty close, if not an underestimate. I know he played for a total of more than $20,000 in the space of about two weeks earlier this year (in Dallas against Billy I. and David G. and in Kentucky again Tommy D' Alfonso, Monster John, maybe someone I can't recall). And then he was in Detroit play several people for big money, including Tony Cohan.

I have never heard of that cue b4...Looks like a nice cue...I was wondering if that cue made more than 100,000 dollars?? If so then why would he get rid of it?? I mean it is green and we know what green stands for...money! ;)

I think he said the cue has "played for $100,000" not that it ha won $100,000. I think he just wanted a new cue for the Open. Dickie made him a new one just in time for the Open. I'm a friend of his cue maker, Dick Neighbors, and have been in his shop a lot as he just recently finished a cue I had ordered from him. The only reason I am even in this thread, as I have no connection whatsoever to the seller, is that I happen to know a few facts that may clarify a few things. And in that regard, you might want to ask the length of the butt and the shafts because, as I recall, Chris had shafts that were longer than the butt.

How did Bartrum make out vs Monster John? Im sure they were playing 1p right?

I'd love to help you here, and I know I was told the outcome right after they played, but my memory doesn't seem to exist anymore. I do recall how people were impressed with John's one-pocket (and yes, I do recall they played only one-pocket. Chris would have a big edge in 9 ball or 10 ball) and that I was very disappointed that I never got to see him hit a single ball. I'm sure I could find out for you if you really need to know.

Against Monster John, the first night of play was 6 ahead for 4,000 which Chris one in about 6.5 hours. The second night was 7 ahead for 5,000 but they quit and prorated after 18 hours of play with Chris one game down.

That cue is 60" overall and has a butt length of 31" and standard length 29" shafts. Chris has played with a cue with these dimensions for around eight years now. Extra length but the shaft is unaffected.

Dick, just like me to get it backward! I mistakenly thought the shafts were extra length. Glad you could straighten it out.

Thanks for the MJ info. Monster is a local here in South Florida and I always like to hear how he is doing in his road outings.

Dont underestimate MJs 9ball. He plays it good enough to beat Lil John last year at the DCC.

Didn't mean to belittle his 9-ball skills. Somehow I got the impression that he was mainly a one-pocket player.

Xmas present...?

That cue is perfect for the season, looking like Xmas tree decoration an' all.
