It was great seeing Chris Nitti at this year's event. He rolled out a series of gorgeous cues including a flame veneer ivory point beauty and his first box cue ever. Those who know my addiction will appreciate these pics.

Thanks Chris for rolling out such strong cues this year and congratulations on producing such a successful box cue design.

Chris Nitti builds a terrific playing cue as well
These new cue look great and his work is impeccable

No offence to you or Mr. Nitti
First time I went out to Valley Forge he was there and I looked at his cues he told me to move along and not to look to close .......
I cant afford his cues .....I am glad he did because I bought my FIRST ....Black Boar (RS1) and loved it
ever since then I never looked at Mr. Nitti's cues ever again .....

This cue looks not bad at all .....not my taste .....but not bad ......I guess if I was there and looked at it he would tell me to move along .......

thanks
Chris

I know what you're saying about Nitti playability. I complimented Chris for his clean veneers, especially the look of his flame veneers. He remarked that his personal player has a similar combination and I reminded him that I had gotten a good look at that cue the night before... when he used it to knock me out of the collector's tournament!

At least I pushed it to hill-hill. Always trust a cuemaker who is also a superb player... Nitti's standards are high

That is a super nice box cue by Chris... Surprised you did not pick it up for your box cue collection Gian. Wish I could have made it down to Atlanta.

It made me sick to walk past it...but I have promises to keep and cues coming.

No offense to you, but anyone that knows or has met Chris Nitti would have a hard time believing that.

Chris has been professional at every turn in my experience. You must have caught him at a particularly bad moment.

In any case, I think the opinion is shared that his work is world class. I for one am excited to see his design concepts extending into box cues. Chris's work is superbly clean and his finish is also noteworthy. His cue was a contender for best in show and earned multiple collector votes during that challenging selection process.

My pics fall short of showing the polished silver veneer accenting the boxes and dots. The cue gleamed as if faceted when it caught the light. Some silver work can seem overly flashy but this builder's style is usually understated. He also added thin silver accents to set off the ring work. This cue is really special. Hopefully we will get a chance to see it at the Expo before someone snaps it up...Chris will only have 1 first box cue and this one needs to be viewed in person.

Happened two times to me just in Chicago at the Windy City show when I was looking at a couple of cues.

I had ~$2k more in cash than either cue was priced at, but was kind of told to look away.

I will never get it...

However, I think these cues are fantastic looking.

edit:

What wood is the box cue? Is it a lighter amboyna burl? Redwood burl??

Hi Gian,

It was great to have you and Debbie at this year's ICCS show. Your collection on exhibit was memorable, and your friendly manner contributed to the show in a substantive way.

Thanks for the nice pictures of Chris Nitti and his cues at the ICCS show last weekend.

I thoroughly enjoy Chris Nitti's cues for playability, design and execution. And I have always found Chris to be extremely soft spoken, a good listener and a pleasure to be around. He is liked and respected by his peers.

Thanks again. See you soon!

Extremely ridiculously painfully hard to believe.

He's more likely to have offered you a seat so you don't get tired standing there. ;)

Maybe it was someones else watching his booth while he was at lunch. :)

I don't know what I would have said if he told me to move along because I can't afford his cues? What was he thinking making a statement like that, all millionaires don't dress like they are loaded and how did he know how much money you had.

Was one of my favorites

??

I know Chris Nitti personally, been to his shop quite a few times, bought a cue from him and he has always shown me the bling as he called it. I'm no saying Swiss Chris is lying it just doesn't sound like him.

many other people have chimed in so far .....yes I do look like a bum when I walk the ails ....many people know me in this industry as Swiss Chris .....I have bought from numbers of people here and at the shows .....
It is one thing if you know him personally the when a bum walks up .....but it another when you are at a show and are paying good money for a Both to sit there all dam day long and have to balls to say to some one " ohhhhh you cant afford that " and looks you straight in the eye ......
and that's when I swore my self I will never own a cue from him .....

IT IS JUST BAD BUSINESS IMO .....

I DO LIKE HOW THE CUE TURNED OUT THOW ....IT IS A PIECE OF ART WORK ......
