Thanks to everyone that made this tournament a success. Chris's Billiards is a wonderful place and I really enjoyed myself. I hadn't been there in so long. Thanks again to all those that do the hard work to run a tournament. It is a thankless job.

If anyone who attended the event would like to provide a story, results and pictures I would be happy to publish a featured article on USBA.net.

Check out our new Recent News page with articles and pictures:

My story...

I was standing at the counter on Friday night, was talking to the counter lady, telling her that I was looking forward to meeting Dennis Dieckman later in the evening...that I had one of his cues and wanted to get a little history on it.

Well up walks Dennis to the counter...the counter lady tells Dennis that I was looking forward to meeting him and showing him my cue...

Dennis looks at me, and pulls out a little toy squirt gun and points it at my head.

Well, I started laughing, along with the counter lady, but Dennis kept a dead pan look on his face. I laugh out loud and say, "you know Dennis, I've got a gun on me too, and mine is real"...as she and I keep laughing...

Dennis waits for the laughing to stop and says, "that may be so, but MINE is pointing at YOU"...(with the emphasis on YOU!)

Now the laughing starts up again by all three of us now, and we promptly got a bunch of "Shut the f*ck up" stares from the players in the tournament...(oops!)

...so anyways I poured him a cup of coffee, we had a nice conversation, he filled me in on the history of my cue, and it was great to meet Dennis.

This probably isn't a story you can use for your website, but a billiard story none the less....

The end.

Doug, I really like the listing for chris's billiards. Can we add somethign similar for southside?, here in savannah? Let me know, and I'l send you a couple pictures.
thanks,

I will put some pictures together tonight if I get a chance. I have been very busy selling billiard stuff. Not complaining. Just needing to prioritize my work life with my 45hr a week "regular" job, selling tables and cues, and working on USBA business. No rest for the wicked.

Good job STeven and Great job for the USBA WEB !(Doglose)
I am sure a lot of hours you are putting in to make this happen.

Chris Billiards......Chicago......

Brought back some fond memories as I used to live in Chicago for many years. Went to school there and played at Chris Billiards a few times.
