The damn kid's like 13! He is playing very well right now at the Reno Open. I have been seeing him the last couple years, and it seems he is getting pretty strong. He won a "B" tournament out here at the Cadillac Island Casino not all that long ago. Now he is facing some of the toughest competition in the world and doing rather well.

I would say this kid is just barely under Austin Murphy's and Landon Shuffett's speed. I played a kid named Mike Parron Jr. and he probably plays about the same. Wow, pool players are being groomed for the next generation. They are gonna be tough.

Chuckie is 15 years old and is from Mount Vernon, WA. He has only been playing since he was 12. He has a great coach and a very supportive family. He plays at Dr. Cues. He has also played in the Jr. Nationals three times, twice at 14 and under and once in the 15-19 bracket. He placed in the top ten all three times. Chuckie really loves the game and remained level headed throughout his successes. He's a tough competitor and continues to improve.

I'll second that!

While I do not know Chuckie as well as lunchmoney does, the kid was ALWAYS at the poolhall when I was there....working, or praticing. Very nice young man, who appears to be very well grounded. Loves the game, and seems to be pretty humble about his accomplishments so far.

Yeah I watched him play when I was up visiting Dr. Cues about a month ago. He wanted some action from me, but I rarely play for money. It probably would've been fun though. Next time I'm up around everett or seattle, I'll probably play him some. He was pretty good from what I saw and I'm glad about his success up at Reno. I really wanted to go this year but I had a job interview for a counseling position with the county and wouldn't have been able to stay for the whole thing. I will go next year though for sure when my brother gets back from Iraq we'll both be going up.

Compare him to Austin Murphy who by the way is strangly absent from this tournament. Anyone know why. He usually is playing in all these including the usppa.

Yeah, I guess I met him a couple years ago when he was 13 and forgot to add a couple. Damn, it has been a while. Him and Austin seemed to hit it off when I saw them in Reno in March.

2nd---8000
3rd---5500
4th---4500
5-6---3500
7-8---3000

But that was based on 200 players. Do not know where they will deduct, from the top or bottom.
They usually always pay 64.
 
I sure hope lil Chuckie doesn't go back to Seattle and get his new wad "hurricaned".... :p
