CJ or The Scorpion?

it was always called dogging it if your game fell apart because of the money or score or whatever.

dan was one of the best at staying and playing hard to the end.

david howard and busty have and had the best breaks in history. in my mind.

all gone as breaking is now no longer a power shot.

My opinion from seeing many players over the years is this. Many many players had/have the talent to be at the top. Not all had the desire. They were satisfied with their level of play and didn't push the envelope.

It takes a lot of work and dedication. Just talent is not enough.
I don't know CJ but I have a feeling he had other interests along with pool. He did martial arts and I bet had other interests as well.

Heart is the ability to play to your best regardless of the score or situation.
Coming to the table down 6-0 going to 7 And winning 7-6 takes heart. Dan Louie demonstrated Heart in doing that in the finals.

I like this definition. Like I would take prime Pagulayan over many “better” players if I I had a pick a player to win when down many games to another champion player.

No offense to cj but his run at the top was much shorter then archers. I would have to say Johnny by far

Speaking of Archer, two guys at my local hall were having a discussion on Archer's best vs Shane's best. The only thing of prime Archer I've seen is what's on video but we are coming onto about 15+ years of Shane being the best American player aswell as a world beater in whatever he enters. Was Archer just as dominant when he was winning everything in sight? How long was Archer's prime?

I'd take CJ in his prime on a bar table over Archer. In Archers prime he didn't want to play Medina on a nine foot. In Mizeraks prime I'd take him over Archer. And no one I've seen in my past yrs has played as good as SVB for this long.
