CJ Wiley Aiming

A long time ago, I remember hearing that CJ Wiley used an aiming method that was unique to CJ -- almost like a "reverse fractional aiming." Does anyone know what this is?

Didn't I read somewhere that he was one of Hal Houles students?

Boo,
CJ has an excellent system (though I do not believe he could take credit for "inventing" it) presented on his DVD. The best aiming system I've ever seen for beginning players (who have the most need of an aiming system). It allows aiming without pivoting; making setting up to the ball much more consistent.

It has nothing to do with Hal Houle.

Buy the DVD if interested.

He calls it the ultimate aiming system and it's pretty awesome. I used it when I was a beginner until I figured out that shooting from memory and shot pictures were going to take my game several levels higher.

I already helped support him to the tune of about $1800 back in the 80's when he came through my poolroom. lol

So I guess another $35 is not too much to learn how he took $1800 from you. Sorry but I couldn't resist.

I ordered his DVD a few weeks ago largely since my wife recently started shooting pool and thought maybe she would look at it one of these days for fundamentals.

Thought the fundamentals he was teaching were good until I got to the aiming system part. Couldn't get what he was talking about and said to myself phooey on all these stinking aiming systems. Personally it's all intuitive to me and I just mentally put a ghost cue ball where it needs to be when aiming.

But, one of these days when my wife gets miffed at me when I try to correct her fundamentals, I'll just hand her the DVD and say watch his fundamentals but ignore the aiming part unless you find it some sort of inspiration (in which case she may well figure out what he's talking about and beat me over the head with it, LOL).

I thought that I was the only one that was confused after reading all the reviews and praises of his aiming system. I thought that maybe I am getting brain dead or that the DVD was missing something. His system is too confusing and gives me a headache every time I watch it.

Thanks for the post and helping get my sanity back.
