Well.... some of you might remeber the thread I started a few weeks ago regarding the scam job that pulled on me.

At the time i posted the thread I was hoping to catch the seller's attention..I was hoping that he would post some info here as he had not contacted me directly in quite some time. I even had Varney contact him to make sure the guy was still alive.

So I filed the claim with Paypal.. first time ever...and the claim has just been awarded to me..but for only 183 bucks..not the 200 I spent

So... I pose 1 question and 1 comment..

#1.. Why dont I get the whole refund...and when will it actually hit the account?

#2.. Dont do bid'ness with user "Salam4"...............ever........

I really never wanted any part of a thread like this.. I hate snitching somebody out.. but I hate being robbed a whole lot more!!!

If the guy doesn't have it in his account you won't get it at all. He may have only had $183 in his account at the time they zapped it. They say they try to collect it but if he doesn't put anymore money in there, they can't get it.

I had the same problem on Ebay a few years ago with the same results what ever they have is what i got. Mine was a few dollars short also. I was glad to get anything i guess.

The guy who owns SlipStic shafted me out of $36.. It was a slick shaft too. I got the paypal claim awarded in the amount of $1.60 heh.. Paypal says they will continue to try to collect, but I haven't seen a dime more and it's been 8 months. I don't think it even has to do with there being more money put into the account, because I'm certain someone has purchased SlipStic since this happened. I wouldn't expect to get the rest of your money, but be glad you got as much as you did.

They have a charge for the paypal protection. No matter what the claim amount, you will never get a full refund. Do some digging on ebay and you can find the info. So it may say protected up to 2000 but it means up to 2000 minus fees for this protection.:)

If you paid via a credit card, you should seek a reversal of the charge from your credit card company. Paypal calls this a chargeback. I'm trying to get my $1,800 back right now from a guy who sold me a SW that I could use as a walking cane. His auction said "mint condition."

Wow.. so I guess I wiped out the dudes account uh?
I hope several floated checks and automatic withdrawals will hit his account soon...

When I do get he the money back I will post it up for grabs.. in one of those "empty my paypal threads"

I dont like Paypal,i mean what if i send something out to you that is mint and you swap it for another cue and say its banged up and then you send it back to me and get a refund?,how does this work.I am hesitant to use it to recieve funds because if i sell something and then the guy jerks me out of money through Paypal,i guess i will stick with the good old USPS MO!
