I have a set of my own balls and I do not always have access to a ball cleaning machine is there any good rags or polishes I can use to clean them in between when I can get to a machine? I herd some one say turtle wax and some one I know even suggested armor all. I know crazy right? looking for suggestions thanks......................................jim jones

Back in college, I used Armor All after rinsing with liquid dish detergent. Nowaways, Aramith Billiard Ball Cleaner and a microfiber towel is a better solution.

When my Diamond table was installed, the installer told me to use Mcguir's Wax Cleaner. You can get it at any auto parts store. It comes in a red bottle and very easy to put on and wipe off. No waxy residue, so balls don't stick together.

Nothing beats water and a lint free cloth to dry em off, no abrasives and the balls will not become pourous as quickly as when you use something abrasive to clean the surface. Once the abrasive cleaners open up the surface somewhat the balls get dirtier quicker, especially in humid conditions.

I built one of those car buffer ball cleaners described here in the forum. Works great and does a really terrific job on cleaning and polishing those balls. There are quite a few suggestions as to what to use as a cleaning/polishing agent. Initially, I just gave the balls a little misting of Pledge, which does a good job. I've also use the Macquir's Wax cleaner. The ball cleaner is easy to build and quite inexpensive. I think you'll like using one. In my case I had a donated car buffer from my son.

I built a ball cleaner also after reading about it on the forum. It works great and I just put a spot of Mothers liquid carnuba wax on each ball and let the cleaner run a couple of minutes and take the balls out and wipe them off with a towel. They come out like new.

Hello:
Some of the cleaners mentioned are good but we use Novus Cleaner Polish
If you are interested in a ball cleaner come visit our site to see a demonstration of our ball cleaner. www.abctables.com

JimS, I second your recommendation for Brillianize. I love it. It has no wax and leaves the balls looking and playing perfect.

mreightball, I've heard good things about Novus Cleaner Polish, supposedly it's akin to Brillianize, and it has the cleaner version with a little more abrasives which should work on older balls that haven't been kept up.

Hay guys thanks a bunch for all the info I really appreciate it. I like all these ideas and I will take them all in to account.

I've tried them all and Brillianize is the easiest to use and does the best job. www.brillianize.com

Jim: I got the Brillianize and like it, too. But... sometimes the blue doesn't come off with it.

I also picked up some Meguier's PlastX and they are using it at Red Shoes now and it works pretty good.
