Cloth Cleaning

Just wanted to know what I should use to clean the cloth on the table. I do use a brush Igot at a billiards store, but also got a huge lint roller ( the kind with the sticky paper) and use that, but was wondering if it's OK to use it for cleaning. Does anyone know or used the Simonis X1 cloth cleaner.

My opinion is to vacuum the table regularly. My experience is to pull the chalk up and out rather than brush it in or roll it.

Don't use a lint roller. Use a wet/dry vac with a brush attatchment. Then manually brush the table in straight lines from the headrail to the footrail.

I used a damp cloth. NOT WET, but damp.

I used it on 860 cloth at my table at home and it lasted over 10 years, and looked great the entire time.

Even if you can see it, there is tons of chalk residue on table. I used a white clothe and was stunned.

Finally, use a table cover, without it, the dust that you see on all of your furniture is accumulating on your table as well. Everyone has a cover, few ever use them....

I wish you the best of rolls,

Ken

What about getting Chalk Stains out. We had someone use Black Chalk that got all over the tables and it doesn't seem to want to come off.

Use Quick Clean. http://www.quick-clean.com/ We have been doing tournaments for years and it is all Diamond uses at the tournaments. Just spray it on and wipe it off. 45 seconds and your done and ready to play. You can clean a BB 25 times out of one can. We go to the expo every year and clean all the tables for them and have been doing it for years. It will be the best thing you can use.

I do the vac. Gets the chalk and other play jam off the table nicely. I use my Kobalt wall mounted wet/dry vac. This vac is used only for the pool table and cars. The table has its own brush attachment that is used for nothing else except my beautiful 9ft GC2.

I vacuum my table first, I have a dedicated vacuum with a short brush attachment that only gets used on the table, then I clean it with the Quick Clean using a micro fiber towel, use a clean towel each time. The wood and Formica I clean with Pledge, I spray it on the micro fiber towel then wipe the table.

Quick Clean is great stuff I use it on my tables and always gets them real clean and its a very quick and easy process

I used a lint roller one time. It quickly got covered with tiny green fibers which it had pulled off the cloth.

I brush like you do, except I use a horsehair bench brush instead the brush that came with my table. I use a light flicking motion and move it all up to the foot rail, then brush it into my drop pockets. The standard table brush forces me to use too much down pressure and doesn't let me flick the dust and debris along the length like I can with the bench brush. It just seems less aggressive to me doing it this way.

Once every other week or so, I follow the brushing with a careful vacuuming. Then I use a damp microfiber dishtowel and wash the entire surface. The cloth pulls up nice and tight when it dries, and it looks just beautiful again.

The simonis x1 works great! I highly recommend it
