cnc help

Actually, this machine uses mach2 mill software

Not sure what the difference is but they have a Mach 3 software out now that everyone seems to like real well. Might be worth looking into for an upgrade.........usually relatively inexpensive for current users of an older version.

Mach 2 / Mach 3

Download the Mach 3 demo and the license (159.00) will work for both programs

Bobcad 20 / Mach 3

I have Mach 3 and BobCad 20 if you need them !!!

Just contact me and I will get them to you at NO charge !!!

There are newer versions of Bobcad available and to my understanding Matt at align-rite who sold me my CNC explained that version 21 is much easier to navigate and operate with so I will have to check it out...

The Mach 3 program is what actually runs the CNC and it's pretty solid...

Very inexpensive and the only way to go for support. You can get it from someone else but don't have the licensed support you may need in the future should you have any questions or need help professional help.

Gee Eddie, seeing as you have no problem GIVING away other peoples hard work, why don't you send him a couple of your cues too (at NO charge).

Gee Bill, if you must know.... another AZ'r and fellow cuemaker gave me copies of those programs at no charge... I originally paid for them at the time of my align-rite CNC purchase... since then I have recieved updated copies from another CNC cuemaker who's not selfish EITHER....

B.F.D. !!

And since I recieved the update copies at no charge... I will NOT charge anyone !!!

I spent 15,000.00 cash on my CNC mill and I will do whatever the hell I please with it and my software, and if I choose to help someone out then that's my business... I did NOT ask for approval anywhere in my posts regarding this offer. so if doesn't "sparkle" with you... than I won't ever have to worry about YOU asking for copies !!!

By the way..... the original developer of that software sold the program and owner's rights and was paid for the program in full, the rest is continual profit for the wholeseller and retailer "this may not by worded 100% accurately but you get the point" so in all actuality I'm not giving away someone else's hard work, he was paid well... "NICE TRY THOUGH !"

THIS IS NOT OPEN FOR DEBATE !!!!

Anyways just thought I would offer you the software if you needed it becasue I know how expensive it can get, and many of us can't afford laying out several hundred plus dollars for some of these programs we use in this industry after being bled dry on some of our material orders !

No matter how "well intentioned" you are, what you are offering is against the law! How would you like it if someone gave our cues away? It would not be long before you were out of business.

Just for the record I purchased all my programs for my computer and my CNC machine and I am still able to purchase my supplies with no problems. My programs cost me thousands not hundreds over the years and yes it was a big expense but who ever said being a professional cuemaker was going to be cheap. If one cannot afford to buy the programs then they should not have them.

I don't know of any of our suppliers that are bleeding any of us dry. They are all good people. They all work hard, and have cost and overhead to deal with just like we do. They provide us a service by buying in the quantities that none of us can afford to do and making those supplies available to us in small quantities. I appreciate them!

All of the good cuemakers I know work hard and make a good living for their labor of love.

Good Cuemaking,

I paid for my last cue too so now I deserve to have free copies of that cue. When can you start making them for me?

btw...posting online about stealing software (and what your doing is considered stealing in the U.S. by some very well connected and wealthy companies with court cases on their side) isn't the brightest idea. Cad companies especially take software piracy seriously.

especially when your full name is listed in the post.

With all due respect to you guys and I can see your concern :

I have not stated that I have given anything out !!! there's a huge difference there nor am I trying to sell copyrighted material....

I will not be giving copies out to anyone as far as I'm publically concerned however, I will assist the threadstarter in achieving his goal if neccessary, but that will be handled privately, and the manufacturer's of the software won't have to worry about any legal issues since I did buy both mach 3 and Bobcad 20 legitimately at the time of my CNC mill purchase from Align-Rite Tools!!!

Good Cuemaking,

Arnot,

I wasn't directly refering to the pricing of the suppliers... I was refering to my pockets beinig drained for supplies because of the operating costs ! "MY BAD" I guess it came out wrong.....

However, I have to agree with you guys... this isn't something I should advertise publically !!!

Thanks, Eddie Wheat

Nope...fully functional working copies that can do everything the original can.

i know there are some guys out there doing the monster 4th axis stuff like Manzino and some others,i just said him b/c i was looking at that monster cue in the gallery.no way are they using the $900 software with their CNC machines.they are doing stuff that requires serious software.

i am not saying that you can't do it,but maybe just that i couldnt' do it without some big time software.

I do have a controller that runs with Desknc.....DOS based...
does ok but these days with all the new windows based software I believe your missing the boat if your running DOS.
I'm in the process of rebuilding that machine and will upgrade it to Mach 3 when I'm finished with it.
Should be no problem as the 4 drives are gecko 201's.
