CNC Square Box Size

What is the average dimensions of a square box on a butt sleeve? This is my first attempt of a CNC'd square veneered box on a butt sleeve and just need a little insight.

I am assuming around 0.6 x 2.00

Any help would be appreciated.

Size and look are up to you. First thing i would do is cad it out so you know how big you can go before you cut out.

see the pic.... in the butt of a cue if the inlay is .600 wide and .150 deep you still have .073 at the edges.... most like at least .030 to .040 for safety.... so if you cut in the inlay at about .020 over size you will end up with about .050 left on the edges

You can take you pocket floor elevation down to .200 and go super wide also.

Also, You have to take in consideration of the depth of cut for the end mill.

I would say that the box size is probably the least most difficult thing to figure out concerning veneered boxes.
