Cohen Cues - New Take on Classic Look

Very nice rendition Eddie... I love 8 pointers with shorter inner points. :thumbup2:
 
Top 1/2 of the design looks fabulous. The sleeve would be just a gorgeous but to my eye, it's a little too busy.
The diamond inlays would look better if they were smaller, or else a few less, because the rings do create a
beautiful top & bottom frame but the middle design arrangement is too large in scale or size. So instead of a
10 rating, it gets solid 9's all the way for excellent workmanship & just being darn pretty. Great work by Zirroe!
 
Just my .02 here but could you get ANY more inlays in the butt? Great workmanship but a tad busy to my eye.
 
Very unusual with those broad joint collars; we don't see many like this. Somewhat ornate, but for some reason, I like them.

It's gorgeous Eddie. The thing that people forget to take into account is that you can't really see what is going on in a photo. In person - it will be easier to see that there are different materials being used for the inlays. They compliment each other and give contrast. It will make someone stop and have to roll the cue back and forth in their hand and observe the light moving across the mother of pearl inlays and not jumping off the ivory. Isn't that the purpose of art - to draw you in and make you take a closer look? Superb work - I commend you!

Your design is perfect. The sleeve is SUPPOSED to be busier. They just don't understand what you were trying to do. Those who think different, just search JW and TAD and maybe you'll get it.

You understand exactly, good eye.
 
I dig the cue.

The style is not to my personal taste but obviously well done.

The forearm is very JW or maybe even Mottey. The butt sleeve is a matter of personal taste I think. It obviously is synergistic the way the materials and designs are used.

I think the overall design flows great, especially knowing that the materials in the sleeve are contrasting. I'm usually not a fan of the oversized collars but you pulled that off nicely too.
 
From joint to bumper this is a cohesive design. It is a beautiful cue. An old school design without being a copy.
 
i didn't even recognize the oversize joint collars until i read the comments

as far as the cue goes
i don't remember ever seeing one i liked better

if i were to order one.
i wouldn't change a thing


this and the 4 pointer you started showing us are the perfect cues

classic in spirit of design,but actually improved

They just keep getting better Eddie. This is a great way to give the customer what he wants without outright copying another cue. What is your ordering process? I think it's time we meet over an order.

Just a side note, I was told Gus wouldn't build a cue with mop combined with ivory inlays because he didn't think they went well together. With respect, I actually like the contrast. You sure can't fault Gus for that decision though.:smile:
