Coins under the rails! HELP!!

We have several tables that were recovered. There is a gap in the cushion/slate that allows coins to slide under some of the rails.
Why is this? What did the dummy mechanics do incorrectly? I correctly tightened all the rail bolts that they left untightened. That didn't fix them.
Thanks, Mitch

could be a couple of causes...
what model table?
have you measured the cushion nose height(s) for accuracy and consistency around table, and are they correct?

More than likely the rail cloth was not trimmed close enough or bunched up and not in the cloth relief, so it is being pinched under the rail and not allowing the entire foot of the rail to rest on the slate. The fix would be to take them off, trim the cloth so it lays in the cloth relief and then reattach the rails.

Was the rails replaced? Did they scrape the old glue off the slate?
If the tables are old and the rail are pitched down from the toll of gravity and banging that the slate takes its not uncommon if the rails have been replaced with aftermarket rail sets.

Are they Valleys? No problem. They're built that way. The coins? Just people keeping track of their 9-Ball race when they play for funnsies:grin:.
