Kudos to you partner for broadening your knowledge of the game and extending that knowledge to help others to learn the game properly.
If this board were political then I would be the Ron Paul of instructors...for sadly I am unaffiliated and Independent lol...I hope to get BCA/SPF certified when I can make the time and broaden my base here (not many interested here in professional help, but i'm growing a name slowly)
I think all you guys do a great job on the forum and off it, to me we need many more instructors out there. We need to get the word out that learning at the bar is not the way to go. People need good instructors so they can hit the ground running, and be able to progress and solve and repair the problems with their games and others.
Tho I'm not certified by anyone or any organization, I've had great success with the players that I've worked with that have worked on the issues I helped to resolve.
I very much would like to say thanks again to Scott for helping me to progress my own game, and my knowledge base and ability to troubleshoot, repair and find problems present in someones mechanics.
Lastly I would like to say thank you to all of you for even with all the techniques, shots, mechanics, and game theory about this wonderful that I have slam packed in my head through countless hours and years of hard study, I still am amazed and impressed with the new things and new views that I learn from many of you quite often.
I do not flaunt or give the image that I am certified or affiliated, but I soak it all up and teach the ideas as was laid out by guys like Scott, Randy, Steve etc to others. For the past few months I've had many locally and on this site very much flatter me by speaking of me and about me as if I were included in the class of great certified instructors that frequent this board so often.
Sorry to somewhat highjack the thread, but it really made my day to see another instructor becoming part of that growing family of SPF/BCA. Tho I've not had the pleasure of meeting many of you, I consider all of you friends...thanks for sharing all of your views and also taking my own into consideration. Keep up the wonderful work you all do, it may not mean much to some but it does mean alot to me.
At times it feels like its a one step forward 3steps back issue with helping others to learn correctly....but every time I start to think about quitting working with others, all of you come to mind and it refuels my tank and keeps me running and working to hopefully make the future of the game we all love so much better.
God bless,
-Keeb
(PS- you might like to know that I've secured a local pool halls ok for daytime use for an afterschool program thru boys/girls club and YMCA I'm trying to develop...open and no charge, more details to come soon)
