That could explain it, but not the low weight. Around 4 oz is unplayable for snooker. My first idea is that it's a jump cue but with a low diameter somehow.
Care to elaborate conetip?

Interested in learning some more of this, kind of puzzled:embarrassed2:

Cheers

The tip diameter is curious. But the product spoken of seems to be just the shaft, so the weight is "normal".

I am curious for more information as well.

.

It is a shaft for an existing handle that people have and would like a composite cue shaft but not wanting to buy a whole cue.
The shaft is a constant taper, so at the normal bridge range of 5 to 8 inches, the shaft diameter is in the 12.5 to 13 diameter.

Pictured shaft shown, is a low deflecting , stiff hitting cue shaft.
The amount of deflection a customer wants, is tune-able on this new series of cue shaft.
It has taken quite some time to develop this product and has only been shown to the public in the last 3 weeks. Some have been lucky enough to try the new technology shaft.
Various features this product offers over other cue shafts on the market today are,
-Any cue tip can be tried or tested on the shaft once a tip has been mounted to it's holder.
-Features adjustable front end mass. Uses are but not limited to , making the shaft have similar throw to a shaft a customer is used to. May want to make a masse shot when the shot is required to be done with a playing cue.
-Customers can experiment and discover for themselves the type of tip and the amount of deflection that the like to play with.
-The cue shaft does not have to be sent to a cue repair person to have the tips replaced.
-The Cuttlefish Cues quicktip system allows for a tip to be changed during the shot time should a person decide to change a tip for what ever reason-eg (edge chips, a layer delaminates, wants to make a masse shot etc) these are all possible with this technology
without the stigmas associated with previously designed interchangeable tip systems.

People who have tried this cueshaft could not believe the tip was changable on this cueshaft.

Availability and other details can be answered in emails please.

Just reading up on your shafts and changeable tips. Pretty cool idea. I see the little tool attached to the scuffer hooks into the tip carriage and you use that to tighten the tip to the shaft.

Interesting.

Cool idea for sure, I don't want to be a guinea pig unless it's very cheap. I would love to see one sent around to 5-10 independent guys here on AZ to see what they think.

All the best,

Justin

Cuttlefish for you Americans is a very unique fish. Do yourself a favor and learn more about one of this planet's MOST UNIQUE FISH. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/nature/kings-of-camouflage.html

The tips are designed for Cuttlefish's composite shafts. Don't know how they play but his write-ups about them are interesting to say the least.
