I know you're probably disappointed, but 4th place in a tournament that strong ain't too shabby.

You give hope to part-time players 'round the world that it's possible to not practice all day long and still remain in some kind of stroke! :)

Way to go... any matches you were especially proud of?

Congrats Joe! All the hard work that you're putting into the game is paying off.:)

Congratulations Joe! For anyone interested, Joe will be headlining a Cue Tech road show pool school, along with Randyg and myself, next summer, scheduled for June 22-24. Anyone interested can PM or email me.

Thanks Guys, I tried, last 3 years I got a 2nd, 3rd and now 4th. Going the wrong way to get that dam banner.
I started with a bye and then guess who? Of course, my partner, Ray McNamara. I played very well in that match and a lot had to do with Ray giving me perfect racks. Then I sat for a couple hrs and had to play another friend Matt Tetrault and I think this would be the match to be most proud of because I had to use every bit of mental energy and experience to hold myself together. For whatever reason my eyes felt horrible and tired even though we were in a smoke free pool room they felt bad and my vision was a little blurred and in my first attempt at the table I missed ball in hand on the 4 ball and it was a simple straight in ball in hand but I was kind of having some double vision issues. Then I went to rack and was having a tough time seeing the spaces and you know I’m all about the spaces. So I run for my eye drops that I haven’t used in the last 2 yrs and it helps them feel a little cool & refreshed but getting off on the wrong foot had the snowball effect and I wasn’t feeling it so I made a couple more mistakes but the whole entire time before and after mistakes my experience kept me thinking the right thoughts. I felt like saying I had to use every bit of energy I had to win that match and I kinda did but I kinda didn’t cuz I had more that got me through 2 more matches for the night.
Sunday I got there early enough to practice with my breakrak so I was breaking okay but Gande is a great player and held control of our match and I had 2 horrible scratches that could have kept me in that match had they not happened. Won 1 more and then calling heads cost me a 4-0 start with Santos. Man was he hitting them hard and I was lucky to get to 5. Overall I feel I played as well as I can right now, a little thanks to my lesson with Scott that kept me delivering good strokes and I’m gonna tease ya right here cuz I have to thank my latest invention that is simply the nuts. Can’t share it just yet but gonna shoot some video this week but Steve I did show it to Jonathan and Chris L so they can tell ya a little about it if you see’em, I didn’t get to show it to them on the table though so they didn’t get a chance to try it. I did show it to Gande and I got one of those famous Philipino giggles out of him, kind of blew his mind with a couple of crazy shots. Congrats to him and I’m glad to see another champion come and spend some time on American soil. This man is very deliberate as to how shots should be played, checks all options and of course executes like he’s in dead punch. I’m very glad to have finally seen him play. Thanks go out to Mike Z, Dana, Steve & Regina and the entire Snookers staff for another great Ocean State. Steve you should come back, it’s not as smokey and crowded as it used to be!

Did anyone get to see any of Spanish Pete's matches? How's he hittin 'em?
I'm calling him Eddie "always out of line but always out" Vasquez. He doesn't practice or play much but still holds it! It's very impressive.

Here's one of those bad scratches I mentioned START( %BG8P4%Cr3P0%Dp8Q8%FD3R4%GO4...n a ball just kicked me straight in the side.

I know, it's downright scary how he can play so well without putting in any table time. I went to Aruba with him some years back, with him really joining up at the last moment, since he literally hadn't hit a ball in 3 or 4 months. We spent two days in PR before we went so that we could workout with the guys, and when we got to Aruba he tortured everybody. Run out, run out, run out! I'm still astounded by it!
