Win #3 for John at DCC in Banks. He also has three second place finishes. The place was packed for this match, even more than watched the Bigfoot final. They love John here. He is a pool God in Kentucky, Bank Pool country!
Don't forget that John was also the 2009 all-around DCC champion, so he's more than just the greatest bank-pool player in the world!
That puts him at the forefront for Master of the Table as well
Does anyone know how the events are weighted? I remember 9-ball being worth more point towards MOT than the other events.
This is crazy impressive. Not only to go through a huge field undefeated, but to do it multiple times and almost always finishing near the top.
I had to check into this. Since 2004, he is a 3 time champion, a 3 time runner-up, bringing his total to 9 top 4 finishes in the last 13 Derby's and two other finishes in the top 13.
This is almost insane in a short-rack race to 3 event with 400+ players every year.
I suspect no one else has come close to that consistently high level of finish over that time period. I think that's very strong evidence that John is the best bank-pool player in the world.
Of course, that shouldn't surprise anyone, because he's from KENTUCKY, the bank-pool capital of the world!!
Can we go so far as to say the best bank pool player of all time?
Can we go so far as to say the best bank pool player of all time?
To the top....JB will check in when he gets home
No we can't, Eddie Taylor was the best followed closely by Bugs Rucker.
