Can see where chasing these smaller events around the country would get old fast, still would love to see him win a bunch.
The following is a list of the bigger events on US soil so far this year, and the 1st place payout. That's $93,420 total. That seems like a lot to win, and that's only in the US. Plenty more if you're willing to travel overseas.
Now, for whatever reason, Mike didn't play in all of these events. But do you know how many he won out of those he played? Zero. Do you know how many times he got in the top 3? Zero.
Don't get me wrong, but facts are facts, and Mike's niche is playing rack your own rotation games against weaker competition. Put him up against tougher fields, especially with international players, and he's a small fish in a big pond.
