Tomoo is from Japan and he represents Japan in the World Championships, but he lives and trains here in Bangkok.

This afternoon he upset Mika 9-7. There is a lot of local talent in this town, and its great to see one of our own take down a world champion player.

Well Done Tomo, Way to go. Everytime he looses a set to me before going for tournaments, he goes on to win a qualifying tournament and plays really well:thumbup:

And he is one hell of a guy, very down to earth and good human being.

He played great on TV. I think he had 3 break & runs, and only made about 4 mistakes.

Hooray for Hustler's. Damn I was heavily rooting for Mika, but now I won't cry myself to sleep. I'll be there in 3 weeks, hope I can play him a set :)

Does he also play in Ball In Hand?

Lucky sod.

If Hustlers is in washington square, didn't that used to be called Ball in Hand? I know there's a BIH in soi 4 (nice! :D), but I think there was one washington square as well a few years back, which burned down.

There's some great places to play in bangers.

Ball in Hand was at Times Square. It burned, and now it is Hustlers. The pool hall in Washington Square is called Sportsman.

Jeff, you gotta come back sometime. We miss ya.

Tomoo beat Darren Appleton 9 - 5 today before he got knocked out. He beat 2 World Champions and made it into the top 16.

Congrats Tomoo!!!!!!!!!

No matter where he plays "out of" hes a japanese player. If this wasnt the case, people would say the american player, mika immonen. lol

Still watching the tournament. I'm happy to hear my friend Max Eberle commentating.
