Earl played great to beat Mike Dechaine 13-5 in the finals of the Ginky Memorial Tournament. Congrats Earl!

Great win, for sure, but heartbreaking for Kiamco who gave Earl the opportunity by scratching on a straight-in 9 ball (with the 10 ball hanging by the corner).

Earl crushed dushaine and a couple of the games that dushaine won were gifts.basically almost a complete shutout.Congrats to the Pearl.

Loved Earls speech and the part about George at the end, showed class by Earl, nice going Earl!!!

I watched it and Earl played great. Mike looked like he was wore out and just gave up. That surprised me. Great play Earl:thumbup::thumbup:

i watched earl miss a lot of shots all weekend and think he got lucky by not running into Mikes A game in the final. anyways congrats to earl

Yeah, that was tough to watch. Kiamco played well and but for that mistake deserved to win. The 10 ball wasn't hanging by the corner, by the way, which is why Kiamco tried to play better shape on it by following the 9 with inside English across table.

Looked like he could have just rolled the CB up on the 10 and still have an easy shot.

Turns out he should have just rolled the 9 in and accepted a little more difficult shot on the 10. I wouldn't say it would have been really easy, but he was definitely the favorite to make it. I think he wanted dog-proof shape.

Interesting example of why you should make everyone shoot every shot. Before Kiamco scratched, I was thinking Earl should have conceded the game (even as early as when Kiamco had about 4 balls left and it looked like simple connect the dots). Even the pros can miss em'. Interesting question about showing respect to a skilled opponent vs. making every opponent shoot every shot.

Congrats' to Earl !

Congrats' Earl ! Did anyone else notice that Earl was playing with a normal length cue (looked like a Babe Gulyassy cue) and used a screw-on extension when needed? I also notice during the Deschane match Earl adjusted his weights, (took one off his ankle and put one on his arm). Any comments?

some people

I have followed Earl for many years and known and talked with him for several years now ,,,so I know how he acts. But why is it that some people just cant give credit where credit is due ???
Earl played good ,,,not his best but definately not his worst ....But the bottom line is HE WON ! Then you have some come on here and say he got lucky he didnt do this ,,,he did this ,,he did that .

WAY TO GO EARL !!!

Kiamco often finds a way to lose. He is the best player who almost never wins a decent event other than Bar Table. It isnt a coincidence.

There were a lot of concessions on the 10 ball during the tournament. All concessions I saw were easy shots of 3 feet or less, straight in or small angle. Earl is the only one I saw conceding at the 9 ball. Saw him do if a few times.

The concessions were done for respect. The Kiamco 9-10 run out, although not difficult, was definitely not in the easy category of the other concessions.

This was a great event to be at. Very interesting to watch players games be a little on or off from match to match.

Another interesting fact some people might not know. The stream table has tighter pockets than the other tables.
