Congrats to Jasmin for her WPBA tour win today. Congrats to runners up Kelly Fisher, Karen Corr, and X Pan. Thank you goes out also to the WPBA for the great three days of free streaming and the text update of the semi and finals on their web site. Johnnyt

A BIG congrat to Jasmin for the win! However, I keep thinking of the match on the back table on the stream when Pam had her down 8-4 and lost 9-8. Now I bet it really stings. :( Still, another great tourney for Pam, too!

I was fortunate enough to tag along to Michigan City with one of the players. On Thursday night we spent about 5 hours in conversation with Michael Neumann (Jasmine's coach since she was 7 years old...travels to most events with her).

After such conversation it is quite easy to see how she achieved her proficiency; and why the European players seem to be eclipsing the American players. They have a tremendously scientific and analytical approach to developing talent that seems rare among juniors in the U.S. Kudo's to Jasmine AND Michael for a well deserved victory.

I am very hopeful that Jasmine and Michael will be lending their expertise to a new juniors billiards camp in the planning stages here in the U.S. (for intermediate to advanced junior players; a philanthropic venture that has recruited the services of a number of champion players and expert instructors: should be quite an exciting program if it flies).

Congratulations Jasmin. Sorry I can't make the congrat more enthusiastic but I'm in the dumps......Monica was my fav and she lost to the Korean Kong Namul (bean spout).:frown:

Congrats for a great win for a very talented player who will only get better and hope to see more of that Pam and of course great commentary by the WPBA members. We need a WPBA tournament every month like this.

This is very interesting. Would you elaborate?

And of course, Congrats to Jasmin. Great heart to come back from being down 4-8 to win 9-8 in an earlier round.

One missed combo is going to haunt Pam forever..."coulda woulda shoulda".

But hell, I'd have gone for it too.

Hey Johnny! Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot to all of us here behind the scenes :) I can tell you it meant a lot to Jasmin to win this event undefeated. I can also tell you that the comeraderie between all of these player's is amazing. 9 of us including Jasmin & Kelly had dinner after the tournament, and Jasmin & Kelly were happy as could be. It's an honor to bring this sport and the next generation along on it's path to the next level.

Next up - the WPBA Satellite Tour Stop at Borderline Billiards - live web streaming and a ton of fun!

Now I'm ready to crash, our work here at the Blue Chip Casino is done for the year lol.

Congrats Jas on your big win! It's never easy to win a wpba tour stop with all the strong players. The final four were all great players. Like others I only wish we had more of these great events over here.

It would be nice if the promoters/sponsor got a couple of invitations they could hand out to deserving players. I'd love to see the Taiwan players represented here as well. Maybe wishful thinking on my part.

Thank YOU! For that very good stream. These ladies had me on the edge of my chair. Oh, and Angel...a great announcer. Her knowledge of the game really shined through. Any idea when the finals will be televised?

Congratulations Jasmin!

She is exciting to watch and bound to be a dominant figure in pool for years to come ;)
