Throughout the week he showed that he can bear down and win matches. He had a ton of runouts this week as did Manalo. Wonder what he will spend the prize money on... ;)

Alot will go in taxes, U.S. and Germany. With his travel expenses included he will not have much to spend.

He made a great effort. It will help with exposure of the IPT having a Euro winning the tourney. Marlon turned in another amazing effort. I can't wait to see it on dvd.

Congrats Thorsten!

A wonderfully played final by both competitors but in the end it was Thorsten. Well done sir! You've done the IPT proud by winning the first full field event and the largest first prize in history! Congratulations on a job well done!

congrats toast monster.

Everyone should be aware of what kind of competitor thorsten is.

Because he won this event, hewillget an even deeper burning desire to snap off the next one for 500k. After a few days off, he will be right back on a table practicing the things he didn't execute well and thenwill return to stabilizing his fundementals.

I know that if some other players had won, they would be contnet.

This is what seperates the champions from the world class elite.

Toastie was my pick and he followed through! He and Ralf have had a great year so far (and its only July). I don't know of anybody that practices harder on and off the table to be the best that they possibly can be like Thorsten Hohmann. He has been saying all along "Victory is mine!" - and today it was. Congrats Toastie! I hear there's a big party going on at The Dome right now! (They might be sending you the bill!)

This tournament format is absolutely blistering. I would imagine that this tournament is more grueling than the WPC.

A lot of unexpected players (Orcollo, Stalev, Appleton, Hann, Peach, Diks, Adkins, Martinez, etc) showed some incredible play and consistency in making it to Round 5 over a lot of pool's biggest names.

I'm happy to see Santos make it very far considering his difficulty in qualifying. He's sitting pretty for a 2007 Tour Card.

Thorsten really showed his pedigree on this victory. Well done sir.

Congrats to Hohmann for winning this one. I was gunning for Manalo. ;)

As most have predicted, it was a very close match. Anyone of the 2 could have won it. :)
