I would like to congratulate Darren for his 2nd place finish in the US One Pocket Championship and give an even bigger shout out to SVB for winning the title.
 
One thing for sure, the competition for American players is narrowed down to one powerhouse, which is Shane. There doesn't seem to be any competition whatsoever. :cool:
 
I was not able to watch any of this tournament, but can someone explain how these two rotation players won this one pocket event?

I know Shane won DCC, but I don't think I have ever seen Appleton enter a one pocket tournament before.

Unbelievable. Goes to show you how versatile these young hot shots really are.

And there are probably no more than half a dozen one pocket players in the entire UK, if that - Daz would have had to learn that game FAST.

At DCC Appleton lost to Joey Gray and trust me Joey was just playing with him. Joey went on only to lose to SVB who really had his hands full trying to get that win from Joey. Head to Head if they did it again my money would be on Joey!!!

No offense, but that was a couple months ago and has not much to do with the OP.

I understand players beat and lose to each other all the time. I was just trying to make the point that it is crazy, like Thaiger said, that DA could be competent enough to place as well as he did at a major one pocket tournament.

Blows my mind what he can do.

Since I was at DCC, I vaguely remember Shane making an uncharacteristic mistake to let Joey out the first game, and then proceded to spank him. Joey didn't get by anybody of worth at the US Championship. Anytime you're willing to stake Joey against Shane, I'm sure I can find a few folks that will back Shane.

Daz Really never played 14.1 or 1 Pocket until the last couple of years!

To be playing at his level is just incredible!!

Best in the world right now IMO.
