For those who weren't in Vegas, Pam's big moment came against fellow late teen Wendy Jans. Wendy is a fine player from Belgium, and has had some high finishes in major women's pro competition.

In a match in which the loser would finish 17th, Wendy Jans played superbly to earn a 5-2 lead. After missing shape on the six, however, Wendy had to play safe and did so respectably, leaving Pam a length of the table bank on the six. Badly needing to make the bank to stay in the match, Pam approached the shot confidently and hit it like a champion, and moments later it was 5-3. That was the turning point in the match as Pam won the next five racks on the way to a 9-6 win.

Coming up with that bank shot when she absolutely had to have it really imnpressed me, and was the beginning of the magical run that took Pam all the way to a seventh place finish.

Well played, Pam!

Just a little tip for you i don't ever never ever play with Josh. We are like water & oil when its comes to pool!!! I'm sure a few couples that play pool definately can relate to that. Sometimes i wish we could but he don't like to, he doesn't like when a girl beats him a pool:)

I would agree with Pamela on this. Josh provides an even greater motivation to Pamela. He sets the bar high and places a tremendous amount of pressure on her to succeed.

It is my belief though, that even without this pressure, Pamela would be a force to be reckoned with. The only thing that keeps her from competing at the highest of levels, is the lack of experience and seasoning. She's gaining both with every pro tournament she participates in.

I would encourage her sponsors to look towards helping her to compete on the world stage in other overseas events. After being on this planet for only eighteen years, Pamela's upside is incredible and she is focused.

Josh and I have been friends for almost ten years. Believe me when I tell you that his support and devotion to Pamela far outweighs the amount of time they have spent on the table together.

Congratulations to a future star. It only gets better from here "Tiger".

Things are well. Still having fun after 13 years, so I think I'll keep it going.

Hey Barbara! Saw you in VF, but as usual, you were busier than a one legged pool player in a butt kickin' contest. From now on, I'll just yell at ya from a distance. Thanks for the well wishes and I hope you're doing well too.

By the way, Pamela loves that tour. Great job you guys are doing with it. Keep it up!

Gene

Note: I'm impressed because I thought I was incognito on here. Oh well.

Yeah, I'm doing great and you should just come up and say hi. Whenever. 15-30 minutes after the brackets go off is the best time for updating and down time.

Guys? Micaela quit 4 years ago. I guess I've got the corner on insanity in sticking with it by myself. It does get me out of the house, though.

Love ya!!

Barbara
