Congratulations Shane Van Boening World 8 ball Champion

Yes, congrats. 8-Ball is Shane's roots, that must be the reason he was so emotional and could not leave that winning black ball. Sure it will be his most coveted title.
I’d bet anything the Matchroom World Pool Championship is his first place, US Opens are his second, and this is his third.

I got Shane’s partner lined up for the world pairs……

The Ref in that match was one of the worst rackers I have seen in a professional match.

If not for the fact his racks sucked for both of them I would have thought he was trying to screw one of them over.

Congrats to SVB had a couple hiccups early on but broke quite a bit better and had less nerves going in the wrong direction as Sanjin

there were some differences in the way the refs racked, the bearded older guy was more deliberate in racking. but i think the main issue is the triangle

And it very well might be one of his US Open titles. Actually that's an intersting question. Hopefully I get Shane to take on this in a month or so (when it settles in his mind) :)

...but I don't remember him being so eager to keep the winning ball from any of those previous wins ;)

Sorry but you don't have a clue what you are talking about. Maybe you visit this thread to learn who the ref is, and then add this to the fact is has been raining pretty heavily past two days.

New tables can be tough. That rack doesn’t help. They need a little tapping to get them trained

he did it with the 9-ball WC, don't know with US opens. maybe he collects them

Now he just needs a 10b WC.
I wish he wins American 14.1 Championship. As straight pool is the mother of them all pocket billiard games.
Or maybe even a real straight pool worlds. Created by whomever and officially recognized as such.

Did his opponent ever make a ball on the break?
Just crazy that these guys can't throw a ball unless it's a wired wing ball in 9 ball or 1 in side.

Yeah you'd think they would get people who actually know and can play pool at a decent level. The matchroom lesser refs are atrocious.
