I'm actually a little surprised...
typically when someone posts a question like this, he's reamed for not knowing something or told to use search or any number of douchebag comments.

Or even "two blocks of 4 or no-count", or maybe "2 & safe" or the much better "2 & stop", or maybe "the break & keep shooting till you miss".

One person stated if you have the 7 out you can make the 7, 8 or 9 "Anytime" to win. Does that include the break? The 7 or 8 could run pretty wild on a break and easily accidentally go in. Is it ethical to call that a win or are they just considered dead money balls, or are they spotted?

One sneaky thing I've seen players that offer this sort "handicap" often do is pocket the other players moneyball in a pushout after they break. Be aware of this if you start putting up dough against a good player. You may want to get some guidelines sorted out before you start playing.

If someone gives you the "7 out" then the 7,8 & 9 are wild money balls at all times, meaning anytime they go in on a good hit with no ensuing fouls you win.
Some players might stipulate the 7 & 8 are "called" money balls meaning you must call them before making them.
Some players might stipulate the 7 & 8 are "called" on the break but "wild" during the game.
If any player pockets another player's moneyball on a pushout after the break that moneyball spots up because it was made on a foul. You cannot eliminate moneyballs of an opponent by shooting them in on a foul shot. They always spot back up.

The first time I gambled at 9 Ball I also didn't know what (weight) was. After beating my opponent by running 3 racks in a row (he was a road player from Columbia Mo) he ask me for some "weight"......I looked at him puzzled and said "what is weight?"
he didn't believe me.........
We later teamed up and he steered me around Columbia, St. Louis, Kansas City, etc
Those were the days, if they couldn't beat ya, they'd join ya. :thumbup:

Don't the rules say that anytime you do not hit the lowest numbered ball on the table it is a foul?
It's very simple anyway. Even playing Two-Foul 9 ball you cannot shoot the opponents money balls in (on a foul) without them coming back up.

It wouldn't be a foul, but whether it came back up or not would depend on what was agreed to before hand. If it was agreed that money ball spots up made out of turn, then it spots up. If not, it stays down..
That's why it is so important to clarify rules when matching up.

The exception is always the push out, when anything can be shot. Typically, the money ball (9, in 9 ball) would be spotted while other balls stay down, so handicap balls being spotted back up would be a gray area and that should be agreed upon before you match up...
