Considering a GTF case... Need advice

I am looking into getting one of the GTF cases
and I am having troubles deciding which model to
get. These are 1x2 "fellini style" cases.

They have vinyl editions (aka Kopy Kat) that are
significantly cheaper. To me they look like a very
good bang for the buck. Does anyone have a vinyl
one that can attest to the quality? I don't want
to spend nearly twice the money on leather if the
vinyl is truly high quality. I have had some really
good vinyl stuff that has actually outlasted real
leather before.

There are two other models called Prestige and
Replica and I can't really tell the difference between
the two?

Any input is greatly appreciated! Thank you

i have a 2x4 leather,i love mine, its very light weight and durable, the only draw back it is very tight fit with 4 shafts and 2 butts

I have a brown vinyl Kopy Kat and it has held up pretty good. I bought one because I needed a case that would fit in my suitcase when I went to Vegas for the APA. I am glad I had it because it is very light and easy to carry around when you are at big tournaments .The difference between a Prestige and a Replica is that on a Prestige the ends are Plastic and on the Replicas the leather is wrapped around the ends of the caps to look like the old Fellini cases!

I have a Prestige 1x2 and it is a great case for protection. The cues fit very tightly in the case, and won't even fall out if you turn the case upside down with no top on it. However, it is very difficult to pull the butt and one shaft out of the case, which is what I like to do.

I put my cue away after every match, so it is not practical for me. I have seen a number of cue disasters at league, so my cue is in the case if I am not playing. I use a Murnak 1x2 at league because it has a much looser fit and I can just pull out the shaft and butt easily for the next match.

If you keep your cue assembled the entire time, it is hard to go wrong with one of the GTF cases, some of the best protection you will get for the money.

Got one of the "Kopy Kat" vinyl ones for under $100 and I am impressed with the quality if the vinyl. It looks, feels, and even smells like leather. Obviously not as durable but I'm satisfied.

I have a prestige 1x2 that I carry sometimes and It´s great, nice tight fit and very easy to bring along. I put both the shafts down with the tips up and then the butt - very easy to get in and out if you do it like that imo. No bluing in the case also.

That was over two years ago, buddy. :o
There was a fire sale at Seyberts until they sold out.
I am not sure they make the Kopy Kats any more

i didn't notice timeline of thread, i did check seyberts and this is all he has left (see photo).
the GTF line of cases has to be John Barton's best claim to fame for a long time to come.
