If you are looking to pay I would go to a pro.....meaning a cue dealer with a lot of experience. Identifying it would probably be part of an appraisal, but even then they may not positively identify it.
There are several that frequent the forums that really know enough to qualify as experts and deal in such matters.

I have never used the services of one of the current dealers so I could not advise you further. The only one I ever really dealt with, John Wright of Wright Cue Company, passed away years ago....great guy.
