Cool Pool Lingo

The cue ball rolls off on a slow shot and he misses the object ball entirely -- "Would you like some butter with your table roll?"

There are several from McGoorty, such as: he misses a pretty easy run out, "A drunk Girl Scout could have run those if you held her up to the table."

From Danny D.: he rattles a power shot, "Shoot hard and sleep in the street."

You remind me, watching UJ Puckett on video. "I shot that shot like a girl." That wasn't enough though, "a pretty little girl."

My sometimes road partner was loud. "Get in there ball" he would yell. Or "souwiee" like he was calling a hog. When Bobby was in a place everybody knew he was in a place! He did find or make action though. Sometimes his noise didn't seem to have any relevance to the pool table but all his noise drew people to see what was going on.

There's "8 on the snap"
and
"Snap off a tournament"

What does "snap" mean?? If it means break, it doesn't make sense to "break off a tournament". If it means won "8 on the won" doesn't make sense, its just all so confusing.

I have a couple "sayings" that i use at appropriate and inappropriate times. When the object ball slowly finds its way into the pocket-"Snailed it!".
If the ball rattles in the jaws and goes in, then I "Flintstoned it in". When winning by virtue of a good bank shots, then I'm
" Banking and spanking!". After winning the majority of games in an outing, I sometimes "drop the chaulk". They can't all be winners, but if some of you could post your cool pool sayings/lingo i would appreciate it. I will try and use them at mostly appropriate times.
My favorite: “You couldn’t bank a river”

I heard this while filming in NY at a pool room in Queens called Le Cue-
Player Mike was called for slow play,
“They don’t call him the time bandit for nothin’”

Tittie f@#ked again.
Tittie f@#ked is a favorite, as is Tittie love for when they save you from a scratch or cross bank back a ball that missed.

This saying has added "you know me, live by the tittie die by the tittie" and "you gotta watch those titties, they can get a man in trouble" to our banter. Oh and a pocket rattle is sometimes called "motor boating." 😁

An object ball is “afraid of the dark” when it stops on the edge of the slate/hanging out over the hole.
