Guys need a little guidance here...

I am using the Black neoprene type of cork wrap (Gasket like). Can I sand this to thickness? I have been told I can sand it, but did not know I could do this. I know with regular Cork you can sand it to fit the wrap channel. If you can sand it, can you share your techniques that have worked for you? Thanks in advance for your reply.

I have only done a few, but I glued it down like you would a leather wrap, masked off above & below the wrap area & sanded it down till it was level. That is how you clean them too. Lightly sand with 600 grit & it looks new. My son's Mcdermott has been sanded 5 times & looks new & is still level looking...JER

Sand it like a Stack Wrap.

Hey Jer,
A magic eraser will make em look like new in a heart beat.

Thanks Guys

Put the cork on today, and it is great to work with. Love it, and love the feel of it. Thanks to all for you help on the forum and everyone who sent PM's.

Thanks Jay, I haven't had to clean a cork wrap, since I have been using the Magic Eraser. I use it excusively to clean shafts & now I know a new task for it...JER

RDCustomCues...Check you PM's

I've never put on a cork wrap but I had a McDermott about 25 years ago with cork and I really liked the feel.

Dick, Hope all is going good...It looks great on the cue, and goes on wonderfully. I am trying to get some stock of it, and if I do, I will post it for sale for everyone here...
