Coronavirus and BCA Pool League World Championships

What is their plan if one of the players gets sick and/or tests positive for the coronavirus?

I would guess that unless someone is already carrying the virus they won't be getting sick there.

However, in about two weeks time, and its had time to incubate, and all these players have traveled back to their home rooms and bars... that may turn out be a totally different situation, not to mention what will happen another two weeks after that.

Yeah right. Have to be insane to go to Nationals this year.

I'm thinking that travel will be a bad option for the next several months.

Personally, I'm waiting for American to waive fees for flights in May. And if they don't, I'll have to eat it. But that would be far preferable, IMO.

The big cardroom casinos in Los Angeles shut down today! These are among the largest card rooms in the country (Commerce Casino, Bicycle Casino and Hawaiian Gardens plus a few others). Frankly I was surprised but the fact that one of their employees received a positive test for Covid-19 sealed the deal for all of them. One of the large Indian casinos nearby (San Manuel) also shut down today.

I believe that the Nevada casinos will be the last ones standing. Their revenue is the money engine of the state of Nevada. I am also of the mindset that the CSI National Championships is nowhere to be right now. I saw on the video yesterday people walking all around and sitting in close quarters while watching the matches. It is like they are in denial about what is happening right now all across this country and the world. There have already been positive tests of employees of Nevada casinos (Luxor for one) and you can be fairly certain there are others not identified yet. I'm afraid some people are going to return home and be very ill.

Nationwide they are closing colleges, schools and businesses to try and not exceed the 500 people in one location advisory. How many people walk through the door of that resort in a day? Absolutely stupid.

Praise Allen Hopkins for shutting down Super Billiards Expo. Sure we all hate it... Being honest I couldn't imagine a more likely place to get exposed with people from all over coming there to an area with multiple cases. Others from NYC area too.

Get any healthcare provider to write a note that you are high risk...age is enough. Then contact your credit card company to get a CHARGEBACK.

Seems I recall TV's with MSM news not being a big feature in tournament casino
settings, I hope not here either, player anxiety would think be high, hard to focus on the
game listening to the world implode, I mean, imagine walking out of the casino with the
cash and trophy's and streets are empty, not even a cab.

I think the CDC is saying no groups larger than 50, anywhere.

He may have to slide it further back...

MGM and Wynn have announced they are closing their casinos. Caesars is staying mum, though that won’t last long.

I have to wonder how long the Rio will stay open and if the BCA Pool League Championships will continue.

They are finally partly acknowledging realty and canceling the event - but only after Monday and Tuesday’s matches are finished. That’s two days too many.

Even now they are BSing people by claiming the Rio will still be open the rest of the week after Tuesday. It won’t.

Apa

Looks like are league representative isn't going to cancel because the main office for the apa said it's the local reps call. Really that's why I quit along time ago .Have to wait to get payed for the playoffs if you win our place. No trophies or nothing. No class at all .And he represents the apa. That's what makes it bad. And no one cares. The apa deserves what they get for employing him as a league operator. Really sad when someone or the apa doesn't care about mankind or all humans in this matter .
LOL REALLY. RICH AKA THE SKUNK.

There's no mention of this on the website. Do you have a link?
