COULD SOMEONE SUPPLY A LINK TO APPLETON OUTBURST AND REASON FOR HIS BAN/SUSPENSION...THANKS

No he hasn't. He has Zero respect for any of his opponents. It's called arrogance.

I do like Joshua Filler, though I can understand why he's not everybody cup of tea. He reminds me a lot of the movie character Grady Seasons, only a modern-day Grady Seasons.:cool::D:giggle:

In the history of competitive pool, so many of our most beloved characters have been much more ‘in your face’.
…..have at it, Killer

So what are they testing for when they do these ‘randoms’?

Are there any actual performance enhancing drugs to benefit a pool player? I’ve heard about beta blockers or something but I’m not sure what they’re all about.

Are they trying to catch someone out for having ‘recreational’ drugs in their system? That would be a horrendous injustice. It’s insane the level of intrusiveness we’ve come to consider as normal.

I love my herb, occasional cocaine, even rarer opiate treats, a vast array of psychedelics, amphetamines, nicotine, caffeine, very rarely alcohol.

Why should some organization care what I do on my own time. I’m not a degenerate fiend, out panhandling in my Matchroom gear between pool tournaments 😂

I’ve got a good job, a house, a cat with the healthiest coat you’ll ever see... and I’m bright, clean, and articulate (anyone remember that? Aaahhhhh)

Almost everyone I know does drugs, whether they realize it or not. It’s a natural part of life, at least for mammals. I don’t know about other creatures of the earth. We don’t always need to be in the “alert, problem solving state” as a smart guy puts it...nor should we be. You get uptight, stressed, unimaginative, forget that life is a beautiful treat. And the only legal option is one of the most horrendously harmful drugs on the planet?

We should all stand up to infringement, if infringement is what they were doing. I’m almost positive they weren’t just looking for “performance enhancers” though.

The problem is everyone looking out for themselves and clapping when the other guy gets caught, then buying an extra bottle of fake pee just to be safe. F them and their tests. Pee on the tester if you can manage it, if they’re the type to get all up on you.

Damn...I always get all pissed and sanctimonious when drug testing comes up haha I’m gonna just do an about face and go have a Frappuccino and do my Wim Hof stuff.

Josh is going to catch the wrong guy on the wrong day and receive a good beating.
You can pull a dogs tail so many times before he bites you.
He may get lucky and escape through life without it happening, he is on the road for a shellacking.
When your exposed to many people worldwide the chances become greater for it to happen.
Life is more violent than ever, we see violence in competition more and more everyday.
The odds are against him and increasing.
I hope he catches on before someone decides to educate him in respect.

Maybe adderall or ritalin, or something similar? I don't think the traditional recreational drugs would help, or as someone else here said, it would be very difficult to stay at the exact right level. I don't think typical performance enhancing drugs would be much of a benefit either. There's a few old matches where the guys are drinking beer and smoking during the match.

Or he just gets shunned like Dechaine.

filler doesn't slander other players, their significant others, or TDs. he lets his cue do the talking for the most part.
I actually like Joshua Filler. Pool could use some more personalities just like him. He's great for the sport, if we can call pool a sport. It's still considered a recreational game, a social activity in most parts of the United States.

Personally, I think the way Darren Appleton's testing happened was unnecessary and bad for pool, but we all have our personal opinions on this, of course.

My heart breaks for Darren Appleton because I know how much he loves pool and has strong passion. He's a BCA Hall of Famer. That's one thing nobody can take away from him.

Free Darren!

I've never seen Filler disrespect anyone. I've never seen him throw a fit after a loss, for instance. He obviously is very driven to win, and when he does he erupts with a triumphant "YEAH, LET'S GO!" He likes to relish the win. I guess that can rub some people wrong, but I don't see any malicious intent there. Darren doesn't either... according to his statement on youtube.

So much obvious bias against Filler, it's comical. When you are on top of the pedestal, the jealous will take every opprotunity to try and knock you off.

If he rushed through the last shot against Darren and somehow messed it up, the same haters would be commenting on how he should have been more mature, taken his time and settled his nerves with his extension if the need be.

Some find his uncontrollable screaming odd when compared to how other players act at the moment of victory. But people said the same thing about Tiger Wood's fist pumping.

Joshua Filler has done nothing that thousands of other players that like action have done.

Except when he sharks people, acts like an arrogant ass and screams like a lunatic.
Hey Brian, hope you're good. I miss Salt City.

I haven't ever seen Filler do any sharking. You got a specific match in mind?

Idk
Telling SVB that he's the king now was a bit much.

During height of the pandemic , I watched Filler online playing ghost games while he was stuck at Roy's Basement. He has a tremendous game.

No doubt he's one of the very best.

I don't drink. Don't smoke. Don't use drugs. They drug tested us where I worked prior to retirement. I didn't mind it but I told them I know I'm not on drugs and they could be testing me for some medical issue I might have and not know about. After that I never got tested again.

Regarding Appleton it's bs but not unexpected from that goofy organization. I think they need to drug test the people pushing the purple 5 ball and other nonsense.

While they were testing us in the field the company president, field superintendent, and other wheels were not subject to testing and snorting coke with the secretaries at the office. Not real fond of testing that can't test if you are dirty at the time of the competition or on the job anyway. When I was pushing crews and when I ran my own businesses my rules were simple, do whatever you want on your time, come to work sober and stay that way until quitting time. One reason, I paid a crapload for insurance for dangerous jobs, said insurance was null and void if they could prove someone was drunk or under the influence of illegal drugs when an injury occurred.

Everyone knew it was zero tolerance when I ran a job. Get caught using on the job, fighting, or stealing, any banned behavior, and it was one and done. I fired my best friend twice over the years!

I haven't met the kid, so I'm not going to be to harsh on him until I do. You have your opinion and that's fine. I dont deny he has rubbed me the wrong way a couple times. The kid is good, but I haven't heard him be disrespectful to anyone on a personal level, if he did, or ever does, my opinion sways more to yours.

Be well
