The whole match is divine to watch. Both guys put up a few runs of 6+ throughout. You can feel the guys playing their hearts out.

Really wish I had room for a carom table or a place to play.

Edit: the match is no so divine to listen to. Guy right next to the microphone coughs for about 2hrs straight.

The impressive part was the position. I think Blomdahl makes more amazing shots than any other top player. He is the current world 3-C champion. From Wikipedia:

He is a six time World Champion in three-cushion billiards, having won the titles in 1987, 1988, 1991, 1997, 2015 and in 2019.

Pretty good longevity. Ceulemans first won the championship in 1963 and last won it (so far ) in 2001.

I'm not all that familiar with 3C Billiards so correct me if i am wrong.

You can use either the white ball or the yellow ball as the CB, correct?

the breaker chooses which ball he uses at the break, then you must play with only that white or yellow for the match

Shooters Pool is computer game with Carom too. I dont either have anywhere to play real but love to play it in that game.

And here are some remarkable shots from the 2019 World Championship that Blomdahl won. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhSN8eTSyPA

A couple of notes:

When a player raises his hand after a shot towards his opponent, it means either, "I'm very sorry for making that by luck," or "Take that! Hah!" ;)

The last few shots are in the finals. Blomdahl finishes with a score of 40-30 but because he broke, his opponent, Nguyen, has a chance to tie and force a shoot-out. Nguyen manages only 7 and there is no shoot-out.

In an earlier shot (around 5:40), you can see that Blomdahl and Eddy Merckx (not the cyclist, but named after him and a 2X former world champion) are tied at 40 and Merckx had run a 7 from his break in the shoot-out. The shot shown by Blomdahl was for point 6 in his run and evidently he made 8 to win the shoot-out. The tournament at that point was single elimination.

But I thought it would be this shot:

This is my favorite competitive shot...didn’t see it coming.
You have to be pretty familiar with where the cue ball will be after two rails at speed to play this shot. A second amazing thing is that one of the commentators called the shot before Blomdahl pulled the trigger.

The second shot here is pretty good too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0aKkamei4o -- about half-way through the short clip.

I saw this one coming...never-the-less a great competitive shot.
