Crazy shot or not ?

In case any one was thinking it.....Jack Hines could have drawn whitey underneath that cluster,no need to swing out and around! There I said it:D

Wow, I'm gonna try something different and give the guy some credit for executing an awesome stroke shot that no one on this forum can probably do.

I'll also bet that it's just a regular table, with regular balls. No "grease" or magic cloth either...

And Grady Mathews could have played safe from there but that's not the point.

He was trying to play the shot that way.

Good for you! I failed to start my post with-Wow what a great shot!
Please forgive me,Jack

I don't know about the cloth, but the CB must be greased.

And shot selection is irrelevant - it's a setup to demonstrate the shot.

BTW, there are lots of shots like that somewhere (on the Kamui sight?). They've been posted here before.

I agree! I don't get why these people are saying he got lucky. If you've seen his other videos, this guy really has an amazing stroke. And this shot really is just a more difficult version of a pretty popular proposition shot (that I can't do).

Thank you.

I just think most people figure since they (or no one they know) can't do the shot that he is either cheating or it's impossible.

Why does the manufacture of a good product spend so much time with video demonstrations that turn into questionable threads?

We are discussing a shot, not a marketing strategy.

But to answer your question it's because they know what they are doing... it's working rather well.

While you're checking out the above video clip, check out the other 8 video clips on the Kamui tips cue ball control series. Do you know anyone else who could consistently duplicate any of these shots?

In this video clip, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEAk8o8O-44&feature=related, the shooter makes a table length draw shot and the cue ball spins six rails around the table. Something's fishy here. LOL.

A shot in a marketing video to be accurate. Not simply a shot in a video.
I'm pretty sure that If your the advertisement manager in the future you will be more selective in the shots you post, for example a more believable shot choice.

As for my remark about good products, many great products that enjoy long term success don't advertise, their products speaks for themselves. The fact still remains that a tool is only as good as the craftsman that directs it.

Have your boy use two identical cues one with a kamui and one with another brand demonstrating the same shot and stroke, or better yet a mechanical stroke machine, now that would be a demonstration. Unless your tips showed no noticeable improvement of course.

I just laughed tears to my eyes....the intro to that clip you linked is a ripoff of tenchu the video game series.

Who made the video has nothing to do with the skill of the shot we are discussing.

Who made it is just a matter of fact, not the fact of the matter.

Riiiigghhtt... because if it were a normal, "more believable" shot that most people could make we would be discussing it right now.

Here's a term from marketing 101, it's called "The Wow Factor".
