I just laughed tears to my eyes....the intro to that clip you linked is a ripoff of tenchu the video game series.
Here's a term from marketing 101, it's called "The Wow Factor".
The fact still remains that a tool is only as good as the craftsman that directs it.
Have your boy use two identical cues one with a kamui and one with another brand demonstrating the same shot and stroke, or better yet a mechanical stroke machine, now that would be a demonstration. Unless your tips showed no noticeable improvement of course.
While you're checking out the above video clip, check out the other 8 video clips on the Kamui tips cue ball control series. Do you know anyone else who could consistently duplicate any of these shots?
In this video clip, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEAk8o8O-44&feature=related, the shooter makes a table length draw shot and the cue ball spins six rails around the table. Something's fishy here. LOL.
Is there any other way to play that shot???

Here's a toned down version of that shot... not quite as exaggerated but it didn't need to be that crazy in order for me to get position on the next ball.

well said I agree. But If he was going balls out the shot was to bring the cue off the side rail, caroming off the 5-4 to open them up, drifting the cue to the head of the table for the 3. He had so much low left on the cue that when it hit the side rail it went to the foot of the table tracking that huge massie.
There's nothing fishy there, rail first shooting at 7 o'clock and I bet you can do it too...
I'm questioning how he made the table length shot and still had enough juice on the cue ball to make it go six rails around the table. If you can do it, please post a video clip.![]()
Larry Nevel saw me practicing this shot in Memphis once.
As shown,I'm shooting it about a foor closer to the 1 than the video shows on his where he goes 6 rails. I'm also shooting it with the goal to get down far enough to scratch. Usually,I'm coming about a foot short.
Larry asked if he could try it,and put his cue together. His version takes this path.
His scratched the first time with probably enough speed to come the 6 rails and back to within 6" of the side pockets. He was also 18" further back, and kept making it longer until he did it 4 times in a row with it FROZEN to the end rail. Get you some of that. Tommy D.
Rail first on both, with object ball frozen. Larry's version took a different path due to a thinner hit,but still rail first. Tommy D.
The difficulty of you and Larry's shots are harder, because I think the OB on the video wasn't frozen...
