Cristina De La Garza video interview

Please don't get me wrong, I have nothing against neither one of them, but the truth
remains the same. They did not accomplish enough. But if this is not a qualification
then JM should be busy man cause there is a long line of people to be interviewed.
P.S. I'm very good with making friends.
I think you make a good point, but then follow it up with a non-sequitur. Jim Murnak must have some written or unwritten criteria. Being a top tier player isn't one of them nor should it have to be.

Are Cristina and Borana easy on the eyes? Of course, but obviously that's not where it ends. Both have great stories, backgrounds, and represent a lot more to pool that the rest of us (the amateurs) can relate to. I can only assume that Jim Murnak (and InsidePOOL) isn't just going to interview someone that has zero story.

And to the point of these forums, the two are a lot closer to their goals than the vast majority of pool fanatics will ever be. Sometimes, it's hard to relate to professionals because their entire being is so far removed from the amateurs. Most of us however can more readily relate to "way more than serious" amateurs.

And I hope JimM has a "long line of people to be interviewed." As a media contributor, I hope he never runs out of material.

As an analogy, my articles feature some of the prettiest cues in existence. But the pretty pictures only server to keep the visual interest high. The hope is that its the story of the cuemakers that make the bigger impact. But, the pretty cues don't hurt.

Fred <~~~ no hijacking intended, only wanting to get into a Cristina & Borana thread

I enjoyed the interview with a young, pretty woman whom I was curious about because I have seen the pleasant way she presents herself and the sport on several occassions. What else needs to be said?
