Cristina De La Garza video interview

Tonight I put up Cristina De La Garza's video interview on go4pool.net. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for posting this. I didn't even know about go4pool.net. It tells you how much I keep up with the pool world:rolleyes:

I really like the variety of interviews you have on many players. This is going to keep me intertained for a while - and I thought I had to go out to get movies because there isn't any pool streaming .

Thanks for posting.

I loooove you Cris. j/k but Good job with the interview.

BTW didnt she win the ladies 8 ball event in vegas recently? and make the wpba tour this year? So quit hating poolmaster. Dont be mad cause no one wants to look at your ugly mug or becuause youve never won anything bigger than a weekly tournament.

Be nice, I'm not hating anyone.

We need to start rallying around people who have made accomplishments in this sport! Regardless of how big or small. Cris, Borana, Lucy, Bill, Tom WHATEVER!

We need intelligent, articulate interviews like these to help pull more attention in our direction. I want to know who is up and coming on tour. They will have a positive out look, fresh ideas and a new perspective on things. We have all heard the complaints from the veterans, but it is the new talent that will make the change and keep pushing things in a positive direction.

As for being easy on the eyes, yes on the surface. But here is the real attraction. Lack of ego............there weren't any I / Me statements there. Humble, modest and insightful. For me it was refreshing, and the pool world needs more of that.

I enjoy watching the women's tour grow, and am happy that it is still a success.

Great interview Cristina...........keep building the resume.

Nice interview JM, she's got a lot to offer to the pool world..

I won't even bother responing to the assanine poster that left the "she's not worthy" message early in the thread, others have made sufficient comments.

Good luck C.D. you bring a touch of intelligence and class to the sport that so desperately needs it..

Cheers!

i'd like to see more recognition given to people based on talent instead of looks

well one things for sure. She is pretty hot

now this is sick but it's something my buddy taught me and i've always stuck with it. never tell a pretty girl she's pretty! at the most you only say that she's ok looking. this keeps 'em fairly humble and doesn't get that "i'm too good for you" attitude pretty girls normally have.

Then what's stopping you?
Start a website that you manage, and your dreams can come to fruition.
You can call it, UGLY PEOPLE THAT PLAY LIKE GOD
What's it cost nowadays to set up a webpage?

When you finally get set up, you can recognize anyone you want, and deny anyone you want.
Problem solved.

Don't forget that we'll be waiting to flame you for cracking all our monitors.
JEEEEEZ!

man you're a funny one! this isn't about me. it's about players getting recognized because of their skill. it might even be about women being admired for more than their looks.

So what do you know about Cristina's skill?? Have you played her, seen her play? Just curious as you seem to be so sure she's not worthy of YOUR approval as being a strong player. I bet your the life of the party everywhere you go:rolleyes:...NOT

1992 called. they want their "not" joke back (yeah i know my joke is just as old, lol).

i figured if she played that well i would have heard about her snapping off big tournaments or seen her in some TV rounds. this doesn't have anything to do with me or my approval we're talking about pool.

i'm sure she plays well though otherwise i wouldn't have heard anything about her. all i'm saying is that i'd like to hear about newer players (men or women) because of how well they're playing

Well i know lots of women who regardless of their looks, good or bad, are NEVER EVER, going to play in a WPBA event.
This girl on the other hand, just got her exemption for next years tour.

So are you saying that making it unto the tour isn't in itself skillful enough?
Cause I'm sure you can find a lot of females that would consider that to be a major accomplishment in female pool.

As far as i know, go4pool is a NY based website.
So far, it's been the same brown couch in all the recent interviews.
Maybe, that's part of the reason that the people that get interviewed, either live there, close to there, or are just passing through (as in this particular video)

Believe me, i'm sure that if go4pool had the chance to interview ladies from around the country or from around the world, they would, but i don't think they are going to interview anyone who doesn't plop into their own lap unless it happens at some bigger function like S.B.Expo, for now anyways.

Regarding females, maybe it's safe to say that in the future, we can expect all the girls from Kiss Of Death to be interviewed, and other females from the area cause it's a website catering to the local scene.

I guess that's just a crime to some people.
