Critique My Game.

My speed b+=banger, maybe more.;)

Definitely not a banger, and possibly on your way to being a great player.

One more question, does a b+ player beat the 9ball ghost on a regular basis?

On a regular basis? Yes. More than 60-70% of the time? Not typically.

But it all depends on the breaks. B+ players are going to run out most of the open layouts they get. That means if there are no clusters to separate, no super tight position shots to play, and no banks or combos required, they are going to get out most of the time. If those tough situations are cropping up in one out of every two or three racks, then the B+ player is going to struggle, because he is not favored to deal with clusters or park his cueball in really small spaces or play position on (and off of) banks and combos.

To distinguish between A+/B+, an A+ player will not only run out many of the tough racks, he will make the easy ones look really easy, ie: no hard shots, and angles that lead naturally to the next ball.

Not tryin to be critical but I 've been a scratch golfer for more than 20 years and I have never asked any one how good do they think I am. I am no pool player, I love it but I know I couldn't throw together 5 racks of nine ball without a miss. My pool game is worth a bunch of amateurs critiques, your game seems to be solid enough for you to know you're not a banger. Nice set, but let's not pretend you don't think you're awesome.

watch anyone shoot for a straight 15mins, even the pros are off plenty of times on cb control and shape.

Easily B+++, but probably would have to watch some long matches with A players to get a better glimpse of all aspects of the game.

Care to share how long you've been shooting, How often? What got you from being a banger to where you are now? Just your general pool background if you dont mind..

id say you are a b+ player, like some of the others stated your position play has some soft spots but you were able to shoot out of it.

I like the music to your video, who/what is it

Video is too grainy.

And obviously you want to be an arse by putting up good play and asking if it's good, so get up and gamble.

I feel you guys know just as much as anyone about the game.Good or bad critique
my game for me.I realize there's more to the game than just this video.

What's a "good banger," is that the same thing as a "short stop"?

What's a "good banger," is that the same thing as a "short stop"? Your first rack's shots were played with TOI....very impressive, seems almost like you've been reading the "Aiming Forum" on AZBILLIARDS.... Are you using CTE PRO I ?

Your left arm flex changes when it doesn't need to at times, however, unless you're playing under pressure this won't be a problem. The "tell tail" signs of someone's speed is from the "feet up".....and since we can't see your feet position relative to the "line of the shot" there's no way to get an accurate read on how effective your upper body angles are.

Paying attention to your left foot position (whether it's open or closed) will help, I'd guess your're too closed and opening up your left foot will open up your body thus your "sight line" slightly. Again, unless you're trying to beat Max Eberle, it really isn't worth the trouble of changing, especially without someone like Hunter Lombardo helping you.

I am pretty sure 8pack is only looking to find out what level of a player he is classified as and not looking for his actual game to be critiqued. This would be a semi brag post :D

Actually it was Joey post that got me thinking about my own speed.(and game)
Even though im consider a masters player in one of the leagues.
I've never ever judge myself as a A,B,C,Short stop or pro.
Just a guy that loves to play.
I,ve always tried to play the game rite and win.:D didnt care about what level i was.Never thought about it.

B players run out most of the time playing the ghost on easier layouts? Really? You must have a lot of sandbaging B's! Or you have 6 inch pocket tables. Any real B player has got action at fast eddys in springfield va playing the 9 ball ghost. And ohh by the way, this guy is an A player anywhere in the country.

You need to get into an open tournament. I know all these guys are saying your a B or a B+ player. Whatever. You ran 4 racks of 9 ball in a row like it was nothing. With your skills, you would be WELL into the A range of any "speed" test. I don't know how your safety game is, or your "overall" game. But you seem to have mastered the main components of play. Maybe get a master instructor to navigate you through the finer points of locking down an opponent. But, trust, most B players in the country would want NO part of your game.
