I agree- it is astonishing how good Shane is at 10 ball when he gets in stroke- he is like clockwork. He definitely has the best 10 ball break of all timeSeeing what happens when there our no break rules was interesting. Svb break was just insane and when you watch him free stroking when he’s playing against someone he feels is no threat is beautiful to watch. I turned on a match where he was down 3-2 Moore . he scratched and gave svb ball in hand . Svb ran out and then just broke and ran the next four racks like it was child’s play. I guess after playing on 4 inch pockets normal diamond pockets look like buckets lol
In fairness, the main guy (don’t know his name) provided a free stream both days for over 12 hours and doesn’t claim to be an expert- it’s just a hobby of hisTyler's wife Margaret was great in the commentating booth. She has a very smooth delivery in her voice and very interesting to listen to. The other two guys were made futile attempts at being funny. One guy had a foul mouth. Guess anything over 4 letters in a word are out of his realm.
Collins is great at streaming and has found a niche. Free streams funny commentary and sound bites. In fairness, the main guy (don’t know his name) provided a free stream both days for over 12 hours and doesn’t claim to be an expert- it’s just a hobby of his
Right, he broke at 8-6 and didn't make a ball and it cost him the match.tyler should probably have won, broke like a monster until the most important break at 8-6 where both side pocket balls jawed out. good event
Definitely knows a lot about tech- I was just referring to his expertise regarding pool- he stated that he is a decent player and enjoys pool, but isn't streaming to provide expert commentary.Collins is great at streaming and has found a niche. Free streams funny commentary and sound bites.
He is somewhat of a tech expert even if he does not claim to be.
Ring games, big tourneys and normal everyday players 1-2 times a week.
He also works at construction full time and will soon be married.
I admire his dedication and hope things work out for him, it is not an easy path.
Good post!! Most of Collin's commentating is very good. His knowledge of the game is great. Learning the game through osmosis is possible. Seeing it done is a great way to learn, I am sure he does not have much time to play.Definitely knows a lot about tech- I was just referring to his expertise regarding pool- he stated that he is a decent player and enjoys pool, but isn't streaming to provide expert commentary.
Hats off to him- I'm very appreciate of free, high-quality streams like his
So was Ernesto!!!SVB was the man, but Tyler Styer & John Morra were incredible!
I think pool announcing is harder than it sounds. Having a couple of people with good chemistry in the booth really helps. I haven't listened to this stream, but I've noticed some announcers think they need to be talking nearly all the time. That's understandable, it's basically the job description, but some commentaries are probably over 50% dead air and you realize that too much talking doesn't always make the broadcast better.Tyler's wife Margaret was great in the commentating booth. It was a great tournament.
A bigish event but really a local one.I was surprised there wasn't more discussion about the tournament on here.
