You're quite right which leads to the main problem with 10 ball in that the pros (smartly) rarely attempt difficult shots in order to try to get out. The better choice is to duck. More often in 8 ball, because of the way it's played at the pro level, the guy has to commit to running out even if the layout is more dodgy.Safeties are generally harder to land with multiple balls to shoot.

If 2 players tie then 1st tiebreaker is enough
But what if 3 players tie? How to decide using only 1st tiebreaker
3 players tie is rare (3 players on 2-1 and 4th player on 0-3) ....and so far has not happened in 10 ball tourney and let us hope it does not in this 8 ball

Three players can end up at 2-1, with all three having one win and one loss against each other.

A beats B and D, but loses to C

B beats C and D, but loses to A

C beats D and A, but loses to B

So, A beats B, B beats C, C beats A -- still tied in head-to-head tie breaker.

Something just told me it looked like Shane was going to miss the 2. He was using an extremely long rail bridge when he had plenty of room to put his hand on the table. I've seen him do that a lot successfully but why risk it.

why would they make the toasty and efren match the stream match for the 7pm? toasty already won the group and efren hasnt won a match. make deuel the stream

Ya, Toasty and Efren not fighting for anything ..no extra prizemoney for winner whereas for Deuel -Chang match winner gets extra $500 prizemoney and runners up position in group :)
