CTE Videos Of The Day - #25 & #26

So have you been watching the videos by Stan that I've put up over the last few weeks? Been to the table with any of it to try for yourself?

There's some stuff in today's videos you can take to the table.

I have watched a lot of the videos Stan put out. I'd say all of them, but it's possible one or two slipped under the radar. At this point, I'm waiting for the book and the "truth" series.

So am I and so is Stan. If Stan has to wait for it based on what's being done, even though he knows what's going to be in it since he wrote it with diagrams and pictures, then you and I can also without any whining and pestering.

Don't you think?

Nobody wants it to be available more than HIM.

He isn't an "expert" like you when it comes to self publishing and everything else.

His book also isn't going to be a cheap ass $9.99 kindle or $19.99 paperback version of Poolology. (decent profit for the paperback based on low cost to produce with paper cover and pages)

I'm not knocking your concept in charging very little that everyone can cough up without batting an eye and then selling thousands. But it's not what he's interested in doing

Hell, you might sell 250,000 and get rich as hell even giving away a large portion to Amazon. And if so, good for you.

I've thought about it myself. (not pool related) I've seen these quick money making sales schemes selling the product for $3.00 but then tacking on $10 for shipping and handling when it might cost no more than a buck.

I understand completely. My book was designed to be economical, something that could help a lot of aspiring players for little cost. Over the years I've paid anywhere from $25 to $200 for certain pool books, just trying to get a little lesson here and here. I wanted something practical and affordable. Never been interested in leaving behind any legacy. I published the book for the people who are buying it, for that and for my wife, not for myself.

I don't think he's doing this for himself at all. He also wants to help people improve just as he did his entire life as a school teacher. If it's in the blood to do it for that many years, it doesn't leave. Me...I couldn't be a school teacher with kids.

I think this is his one and only book he's ever going to produce and he just wants to do it right, with class.

I honestly believe that. Anyone that watches and listens to him talk about CTE, the passion is obvious. He has 15,000 to 20,000 hours invested in into the system, and he just wants others to experience it, to know it, sort of like a musician that writes a song and presents it to the public.... the primary goal is to share it, hoping that others get as much from it as you put into creating it.

Sorry for the analogy, just showing that I didn't mean to insinuate that Stan was publishing his book for himself.

Hell, that was the BEST analogy you ever came up with. Hit the nail on the head.

There may be hope for you yet. LMAO

Did it ever occur to you that I may be interested in reading it? I've bought tons of pool books over the years. Read them cover to cover. There is usually something in every one of them worth knowing. I bought Brians book, Stans first DVD, I have Joe Tuckers Aiming by the numbers, Brumbacks DVD, Banking by the Beard and there are probably others who've been on here whose work I've bought and don't remember at this exact moment. I lost many of the physical copies of older books some years ago. I even watched all of JB's videos, for crying out loud.
I stand corrected, my man.
Pardon me for being a donkey.
I've just had soooooooooo much crud from that "Dan White Posse" that this time I overreacted.
I sincerely apologize. (I am deleting my original snarky post that I made to you)
:sorry:

Lol. Thanks! Believe it or not, I was thinking the whole time I was writing it....."don't make it too long-winded, Dave hates that shit" lmao

Go slowly with them in the future. Don't let your exuberance and recent success make you think it's all down pat. :grin-devilish: :rotflmao1:
