CTE- who thinks it's great?

Looks like it"s "great" for those who know how to use it, but the jury is still out untill the rest of us can be shown and taught it.

Waiting for the DVD .........

i do...............its not my predominate aiming method.......but its my very close to most used method for banking

I have never heard of CTE. What is this???

Personally, I use an aiming technique I call the "Purple Unicorn Aiming System". I'm sure you are all familiar with the Unicorn Aiming System. I used that as a starting point and I have advanced it from there. I am releasing a video soon. If you buy the video it comes with a free coloring book. Stay tuned.

I think it's great.

It forces the player to get the eyes in the correct position for each and every shot if they understand and do it correctly.

There is only one spot to have the eyes on every shot to see it Perfectly.

If CTE gets you there mission accomplished. Your pocketing skills will increase dramatically.

From someone that knows.........Genio have a great day...........

Though I don't know about the "forces" part, I pretty much agree with Gene.

I suspect its main value is in directing the player to find the line, aka, get the eyes in the correct position, before involving the stick.

Mike, to understand what you mean...

In your opinion is this the same as careful sighting before getting down into shooting position, or is it more than that? Do you think there's something that CTE adds by prescribing semi-specific stick movements?

CTE will not work if you can not hit the Cue Ball in to the Object Ball per all of the information posted in past about the Center to Edge Aiming System.

So if you can not Shoot the Cue Ball in a Straight Line, and Hit Point of Aim on the Object Ball. you are not going to get anything out of CTE, or any other Instructional Material.

Like in most sports, or games if you do not have a foundation of fundamentals your are out of luck before you start tying to master any thing more than basics.

JMHO.

I suspect the semi-specific stick movements don't mean much. On the other sighting in a fairly regimented way with a few key guideposts may be more valuable than a simple suggestion to sight more carefully.

I'll wait to see what comes out of Stan's DVD.

Do you do anything specifically to prevent your stick from "prejudicing" your sighting of the aim line?

For my level of play. I think it works excellently. I'm waiting for my copy of Stan's video.

I would like to know the original poster's opinion. Rather than to simply start ANOTHER thread about it for the sake of trolling the forum how about we get his opinion? It's not like the forum needs another thread on this topic but at least he could answer his own question.

Isn't it obvious? It is who it is, afterall. And look -- he even put "> (first)" as his sign-off, to show dual-intention. "Me me me."

Come on, man -- are you really that gullible? I have a nice bright neon-green JitterBug lure I'm going to cast right in front of you... wanna bite?

Of course. I just like pointing out the pink elephant in the room that everyone else ignores.

Plus it's another opportunity to plug these:

I use Ron Vitelo's 90/90 aiming method for most shots. I also use Greyghost's method for a couple other type of shots when they come up. Ron is a great guy, and quite a teacher! I'm lucky to have him as a friend. I've also ordered Stan's Pro One DVD. Another great teacher. :grin-square:

For me Pro One has been an amazing addition to my game, huge really. I run out like never before and wouldn't think of reverting back to any system that I've used previously. For those that ordered Stan's DVD and actually take the time to learn it, will be very pleased.
