This cue and case have both been signed by Wimpy. I don’t have any information on the cue itself but I do know the case was Wimpy’s. He engraved his signature on the backside of the clasp. I tried without any luck to get some kind of information on the cue. My father owned a small poolroom in Elizabeth City Nc which was Wimpy’s hometown and when he passed away recently we closed the business down. 252 619-2431 is my contact number if interested.

I maybe completely wrong but my sleuthing has led me to think that this cue was made by someone working with Paul Heubler. I am guessing it was made for the Porter Renaissance pool table company. Potentially for a customer who purchased a Custom Table named after Lassiter. Just a guess.

A friend of mine I used to play with told me he played with Luther when he was in the Navy.

Try to find his nephew, I forget his name but I know he's a tow truck driver in the area. He knows a little about Wimpys stuff. His last name is Lassiter. I'm in Nc and that's the 4th cue I've seen with a Wimpy connection. I know of 1 cue that was given to Lassiter by Bob Meucci. Good luck.

You do know that's a Harvey Martin case?

Just love the look of his cases. Just classic.
