I do not care about superficial issues with a case...I am curious what case you think offers the best protection against the elements and damage to cues. Just curious what you all thought!

Bill, do you mean like an Its George type case? Where the cover, thwoomps when you take it off?

That's the vacume part. Now if you can find one with tubes for the butts and shafts instead of the cloth dividers . you've got the best case for your cues.
The only one I've seen was an old custom one.
The Hagar case I have is pretty close but it's not vacume sealed

Should have added a Talisman case. I think they are a very protective case as well. Not just cause I sell them, but I've had nothing but great feedback on the ones I've sold as well.

Thanks, Mark

I'm reasonably careful with my case and cues. Haven't driven a cement truck over them yet. Must avoid those RPG grenades in the tougher bars tho.

PVC pipe with screw on caps may be best for you pauly - J/K. Heavy thick lining with a seperate cart w/wheels for ac, dehumidifier and heating unit could be added.:) :D :p

I think most of the popular brands are more than sufficient to protect a cue. Most of the "technology" goes into the aesthetic façade.

Its George

I voted, quickly, and should have cast my vote for Its George instead. Murnak and Instroke run neck n neck for keeping the cues cool, Justis is awesome, but the seal on the Its George does a better job should your case wind up in water somehow, than any of them. Living in Florida, water is a consideration

When It comes down to it, I'm a George man. Really nice.
When ever Someone comes in with one, I go Ape S--t over them.

Nothing wrong With an Instroke Ither... Holds Cues, Afordable, Pretty. Overall, just a great case.
I have herd of guys who somehow drop the case in a puddle-Long Stories-and just have regretted not having a fully sealed case.
I, Myself make cases. From the feedback, People Seem pretty impressed. I'm going to become more fimiliar with the local market before taking a plunge into the ocean.

i found the vaccume sealed cases like its george protect your cues well but i found my cue was too tight in there and damages the finish on my shafts.

I have a Predator case by Instroke. Although I can't stand the ugly gold panther on the front the case is still the best bang for your $$$ in my opinion. I like Whittens too but they seem kinda heavy to me....

So how does one go about picking the butts and shafts out of a case like this? Do you have to stick your fingers inside and try to pull them out?

If you look at the 2nd pic the tubes come out. The cue is covered by a braded nylon kinda like a chinese finger cuff . It peels down revealing your cue The butt tube doubles as a cue extenision if needed but I never use it. The release is hidden. I've won alot of money having people try to open the case and can't.

as far as the elements(rain and moisture and humidity)i would say its George.i also thinkm they are very ugly and wouldn't carry one.i prefer to have a Murnak or Whitten out of all cases.

Everyone is forgetting about the Zero Haliburton cue case. I think this case offers the best protection for cues.

I designed the Instroke case and of all the commercially available tube style cases it offers the best protection against impact, moisture and temperature change.

The dead nuts best protection is with a Zero Haliburton. They are bulky but are sealed and can withstand 2000lbs per square inch of external pressure.

John Barton - www.jbcases.com for a truly unique cue case.

John

I have an older Instroke Vinyl from a few years ago...the fit and finish is just not the same on the newer cases!
