Cue Design Theft This Crap Needs To Stop!!!!

I heard it was marketed with a purpose other than Jumping Balls, but I do not know for certain could be just a rumor, however, the originals were not made that way!!!
What orginals? Bunjee Jumpers?
All the Bunjee Jumper Jump Cues were made with flared ends from the beginning and continue to be made this way today.
Thanks for your post partner, actually for both your posts, but in truth who cares what brand you buy, have you read the title of the thread it is about knock offs. Now if your comments are saying that even though Mr. Barton's cases are Chinese knock Offs or that you don't mind buying from some one who undermines American products by having knock offs made I understand and thanks for the information.
But, if your intent is to tell everyone that John builds a great case, I do not think it is needed in this thread, I have heard no one in this thread say that Mr. Barton's cases were not good so what are saying?:wink:
As far as buying American, that is a personal thing and I must admit it is certainly getting harder to do every day, but it is certainly worth the search in my opinion
Thanks for your posts but let me recommend something, rather than complain about the threads content, it may be easier to just not read or post to it if it bothers you, seems pretty simple to me what do you think?

I am very rich. I have all the things a man could want in life. I do what I love to do. I have a great wife, great family, beautiful baby, a great crew of people I work with, friends all over the world and on top of it all a place where I can go and share my experiences in the industry I love.
I didn't lose your money. I never had it to lose. I also choose where to buy things based on any number of factors. If not liking me personally is your reason then that's your reason.
I still believe that the intent of your post was to attempt to silence me. If I am wrong then tell me that.
You tell me to talk about pool. I challenge you to find any other case maker who has talked about POOL more than I have on these boards.
I have given instruction, told pool stories, talked about how pool and billiards are played in different countries, etc... I dare you find any other person who sells billiard products here who has shared more about pool in general than I have.
Not only do I talk about pool but I also talk about the business of pool.
Beyond that I give back once in a while as well. So again, with all due respect, if you can't find the balance in my total body of conversation on this forum then please take your money elsewhere.

Especially when YOU sell products made overseas that carry no warranty and are supplied by companies that practice design theft and give nothing back to the sport.
So how do you reconcile your statement above with the fact that you sell imported products?

Yea, I can choose to read this crap or not read it...hell, who knows why I even said anything...i really dont have a clue now. Sometimes seeing pschoolgirls getting thier panties in a bunch is funny....sometimes its not so funny. I guess tonight it wasnt funny.....Now tomorrow....that may be a different story

What have learned?
Carl's Cues guide to getting rich on Ebay is basically steal the designs of famous brands and insinuate that your copies are as good as the originals at a fraction of the price.
Craig Rittel has a bug up his ass about it even though he himself sells knockoff products from a company that steals designs from everyone. (although he claims he doesn't but we know he does)
Joe "snipershot" is still clueless about anything to do with the topic.
Frank felt I was out of line but won't tell me what exactly was out of line. He took his money and gave it to Ron Thomas instead of me and that Ron was happy to get it.
Nick had nothing to add to the topic but felt that it was a good time to pile on the attack John bandwagon.
And John is as stupid as ever to have once again spent another afternoon arguing with idiots thus making himself an idiot as well.

Actually, I am going to have John make me a custom case for a Sugartree cue that is being made for my wife. We have briefly spoke about it. So I guess he does have my support.
As far as the cues that Carlscues are selling..it clearly states that they are not the real cues. If you think your getting the real deal for that price you must be brain dead. Also, they look like crap. I know a guy that plays in my league that ordered one, I will say it his ok...nothing like a real Meucci though, but he knew he wasnt getting a real Meucci. So to me, I dont really see he is doing anything wrong. He is taking a well known product, making bad copies of it, and selling them...he isnt trying to sell them as the name brand cues..
Heck, Wal Mart...and American company does this all the time and they are running mom and pop stores out of buisiness...but they are on the other end of the spectrum...I doubt Carlscues even stands a chance in putting Meucci out of buisiness...or anyone for that matter. Most people can see exactly what they are getting when they buy from him.....
During thread it has become clear that one of our forum members is directly responsible for knock offs being manufactured in Asian factories. It is clear that he has been accused of this by other well known case makers, and he has admitted using designs of another case maker. He claims that his actions are justified because others have stolen his designs so it is nothing more than pay back or because they have customers he doesn't approve of.
It is hard to believe that anyone in their right mind would expect others to believe some one who does business in this manner has any moral convictions what so ever. I hope everyone can see his flagrant attempts at deflection of his own involvement in the knock off market.
In addition I hope people are aware of Karl's cues on ebay, and I hope if nothing else that people will not support this seller of others of similar Character in the future.

I like this thread, I am in the knifemaking business. I make everything I sell and it sometimes pisses me off to see friends have their designs stole and made overseas, but what you get when you buy them is a piece of crap. I know some companies have things made overseas that is very good, but I try and buy AMERICAN when I can. I had a convienence store for a while and walmart put allof thelittle ones out of business by selling gas so cheap. If we as americans would buy american as much as possible then these people would not be doing so well. As far as cases go I have a saddlemaker that made me a case and there is no one that can do better and the price was much better that a lot of knockoffs. I ahve friends that make cues at a fair price and even Dale Perry who I don't know atleast makes his in his shop but sell them at avery low price. I know a lot of people hate that but it is american from what he says. Good enough jut try and buy american keep this country in the front and the knockoffs will slowly go away because they won't be a good enough market for them.
I don't care what anyones says about me I am pro american and screw the rest, they have screwed us enough.

Well if they can see what they are buying and they buy it, more power to them because this World certainly needs more Suckers, I just wish they were not Americans!!!!!
But, nothing you have said makes any of it right, it is your money if you want to buy from some one who furthers the importation of knock offs into this country more power to you.
